Iv'e been a part of this website since it started.
It used to be the place to be, but the past couple years the site traffic has really dwindled down.
The last time this site got a new look, it went from awesome to complete shit, imho. I was told the reason was so mobile users could have easier access. All it did imo was make this place much harder to navigate and less user friendly.
I'm proposing we change to XenForo software to run this site.
Please check out fuckcombustion, com which is a great vaping site, and check out the forum software. It is very customizable, and extremely user friendly, unlike icmag. Also here is the wiki on the software https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XenForo
I don't see how anyone could argue against a change. There should be money from the server funds to handle this, if im not mistaken. If not then that needs to be addressed. If there isn't money in the server funds then maybe some of the folks who are supposedly running this site can look in the mirror and get their shit together, or hand the responsibility off to those who can and want to handle it. As cannabis is normalized across the globe, now is a the time to rekindle this website and make it a beacon that attracts more people and organizations who want to share and learn, and propagate knowledge about this plant.
Icmag is one of my favorite destinations in the world, where people who may be a world away can share with each other the knowledge and experiences involved in growing this plant. The site has opened doors to me that i never dreamed possible. I know it's done the same for many others as well. Sadly bc of the shit that went down here, most of the og's and real great contributors have left, and the doors for members to share with each other aren't as plentiful.
And ill end with the fact that, hey, maybe the people running this site don't want to see any changes..well if that's the case please let me know so I can take my knowledge and experience and networks somewhere else where they might be more appreciated and utilized. Many of us who are pillars in our industry are very loyal to icmag, but how long do you expect to keep folks around if there is no "Kaizen"?
