Hey hey guys!
As some of you may know, I had a potential security breach that forced me to shut down my grow. With the issue dealt with, I decided to take the opportunity to revamp my grow pods.
So, welcome to the buildout thread!
Here's some models that lay out the general idea, although the third pod has been nixed.
As you can see, the ventilation has been revamped to allow for less constrictive airflow. Each cool tube arm will have a damper between the cool tube and the main to allow for an even airflow through both tubes.
In the lower section of the back wall, you'll see registers for A/C. The air conditioner will be mounted into a makeshift plenum duct. Each register is adjustable, to control the amount of cooling.
Ventilation is handled by a speed controlled 8 in Vortex, exhausting through my homemade carbon filter.
Here's the vital specs:
Measurements: 4x4x7 each pod
Lighting: 1000w HPS in flowering pod (62 wpsf), 400w MH in Veg pod (25 wpsf)
Ventilation: 8in Vortex 747 CFM fan ducted to 6 inch through dampered homemade cool tubes.
Odor Control: Homemade Carbon filter
Cooling: 5000 BTU air conditioner, plenum ducted through 10inx6in registers
Electrical: 30 amp dedicated circuit (see the step by step installation) & 15 amp dedicated circuit
Plumbing: None. R/O water via 5 gallon bottle (my back whimpers)
Plant Count: 4 in flowering pod
Estimated Yield: Pffft, yeah right
Medium: Soil transitioning to hand-watered Coco
Of course, every good remodel has to start with the fun - demolition!

And here's why you periodically test things beyond normal use:
That's right, a 1kw HPS bulb that cracked at the base, and the glass just slid right out, leaving the exposed element No worries though, replacement is already in route. Managed to snag my first horti bulb too, for less than the standard bulb costs me.
We'll proceed along, with updates coming daily to completion. No time to waste, we're looking at being up and running by July 1, and with only one guy, there's no time to waste.
Any questions?
