What a hectic damn day! I cleaned up the grow room (the area outside the pod), and transplanted the girls into 3 gallon pots. That's a lot of damn water to lift for flushing coco - 15 gallons for every two gallons of coco, a 7.5 ratio flush. Multiply that by 8lbs per gallon of water and that's a bit of a work out just flushing the coco
I also mounted the large fan in the flower room to the ceiling, to free up more space for the girls. Let me just say that having that hardware cloth on the ceiling is something I highly recommend, gives you so many options for getting everything just where you want it.
Yesterday, I dropped 5 Budosia seeds into the cups. I'm rather excited by this cross - (Knights Templar)x(G-13). I've seen the results of the Knights Templar (check out dc105's thread), and I think we all know that G13 speaks for itself.

Over in the flower room, things are going well. You can see the space the repositioning of the fan made, although the plants still take up the all the room they can get
Here's a group shot outside of the room. Even though they're still crammed close together, I think you get a good idea of how large they actually are.
Here's a shot of the feature attraction, our B-52 lady, in her pride of place in the flower room. I'll let you guys know now, so you won't bitch at me later, I'm planning on cutting a lower branch next week, and a couple just before Halloween. Sure, she's not due until November 11, but I'm damn tired of schwag. Really fucking tired. Plus, I really don't think those lower branches, popcorn at best, are going to harm the overall yield that much.

I just soaked 6 on got 4 out of 6 sprouted they are really fresh so they weren't as vigorus cured seeds! However! It's worth greming especially for freebies! Here is a couple shots of the mom I used to make F2's of the Knights Templar!

Unfortunately, i cant get my Knights Templar to pop. the Godbud are looking amazing though! very uniform. they are about to be flipped in a few days. keep it green NT!

I've got really really high hopes for the Budosia. I mean, it's KTxG13, what's not to like in there I'm waiting eagerly for those babies to pop up.
I have to admit though, that one bagseed that went into flower first is really, really catching my attention. Popped out first, and is STACKING on the buds. She's got a really unique smell. Remember how I described it before? Well, it's morphed. Now it smells like slightly fermented garbage You know how you throw out some food, and the garbage doesn't get out for a coupla days, and it starts to turn? Not fully gagging rotten, but just that kinda whiff that tells you you need to get that out to the can? Kinda like that. I'm eager to see what she turns out as in the end. May very well be a keeper - like my sig says
There's also one in there that has this extremely sweet smell, I mean like just opened a can of frosting type sweet. Haven't been able to narrow it down, but she's hiding in there somewhere, and I will find her.
I'm definitely going to have to go with a second flowering pod. Way to many things inbound to the pods to try to flower them all together. I have some very interesting crosses, quite a few, coming in seed form, and some nice clones are due in too. No way I can do all these testers justice with just the one pod, especially with the wildly different strains.
Here's where I stand now. First step is I'm upgrading the carbon scrubber. I've got 12 pounds of carbon on the way, and I'm going to do a ten inch diameter filter between 3 and 4 feet high. It's gonna be a hoss
At the same time, I'm going to divide off a small part of the veg room for a drying area. It should actually help the veg area, since that 400w isn't covering that area effectively anyway.
As soon as I can, I'll be adding that second pod and the flip flop. Lotta damn work, but I think the rewards will be worth it, don't you guys?
Only problem is that I'll have way more produce than I could possibly use. All things considered, it's not a bad problem to have. But you can only do have so many hash, BHO, and edibles before you run into the same problem.

I think once you get things tweaked you will have no problems with running out of smoke. Just try not to give too much away to your friends.
I too have picked up my last bag of shwag from the seller man. LUI is at day 50, bulking up and putting on the jewels. The 600 hps was the right choice, that is fo' sho'.

The carbon was $14.99 + $8.99 S&H for 12 pounds from eBay. The guy's got a 100% approval rating, and I liked the info he gave on his carbon. Plus, he guarantees it - you don't like it, he refunds, you keep the carbon. Figured I couldn't go wrong
I won't have to worry about giving too much away, though. I've only got one smoker to provide for - me Only other smoker I know tends to be a bit of a rambler, so I never know if I'll have to cover him or not. So, the main beneficiary of the excess will be the fire pit out back

hey nitetiger just been lookin through your thread. i missed it before cuz i'm always hangin in the coco lounge but i gotcha now. nice lookin setup and girls. i think my next setup is gonna be podlike. seems like you have a lil more control with it. let me know how it goes if you decide to start flippin and floppin. lookin good i'm sittin in the chair with a fatty watchin.

The pods really are working out great. It allowed me to take a space that would have been unmanageable and bring it 100% under my control. It also allowed me to maximize the equipment I had, instead of trying to force the equipment into a less than ideal space.
For the cost of a few 2x4s and some plywood, it's well worth it.

thats what i'm lookin for, maximum use out of my equipment. buildin a pod that runs right up to my window ac. maybe two in a 12x10 room or something. right now my control board(ballasts,timers ect.) is in my flower room but my next setup will get rid of that. also lookin into insulatin the top of my hoods with some insulatin rubber like stuff from ebay. it just sticks on and cheap. anything to take degrees out of my flower room. i got silver star air cools and i love em but there seems to be a good bit of heat radiating off the top of em, maybe cuz i only got a 4inch fan coolin them... i know, i know.
