The purple thyphoon is seeds from 1 purple stemmed, August 22. harvested Thyphoon(from the small spot). It is a 3. generation purple :)

All Thyphoon seeds comes from Tanska(my dad) he started spreading them in 07 and some have been growing them since then.

Rd x Thyphoon was made in 08(Not by me or Tanska), the Royal dane in is either 06 or 07 generation, and the Thyphoon is 07.

I have never tried Thyphoon indoors, but it's probably not good for that :)

What is this purple typhoon? :)
Sounds like it might do good here in Norway

I think any of them would do well in Norway dude :ying:

the purple seems to be a pheno found 3 generations ago and the purple trait worked with?

this reminds of when Guerrilla Gold first appeared.....a strain I first heard of originating in Canada?

they even look kinda similar when growing wild :dance013:

so does anyone have any info about Great Dane (or was it Royal Dane?)?, the Typhoon hybrid also listed on that site

We started breeding on the purple traits in 07 by removing all green males, and then in 08 we used only seeds from females with purple traits, but on the big spot there was also many selfplanted(seeds from all the plants in 07 that fell of and survived the winter and then germed in 08 :)). then in 09 we grew the seeds from those with purple traits in 08 and again many selfplanted(and many green phenos) on the big spot. But on the small spot not much had fallen of the previous years so almost all af them were purple stemmed.

Here is that special early purple female on August 15. 2009 from the small Thyphoon spot:

Excellent Dyr :)

Edit: I think our "mcgyver" (the topped plant) looks VERY much like your special purple plant. Mgcyver was our second earliest plant. Smokes really good too.

they do look very similar (the McGyver/Purple phenos I mean), both excellent looking plants

dyr can you tell me more about the Nepalese at all?, which region it originated from would be great if you know man?

I've always had a liking for Himalayan strains :canabis:

It is of unknown origins but the guy Tanska obtained the seeds from said they where from Nepal :dunno:
They have been grown 30 years in Denmark since by Tanska and is very early(most finish begin September) with a more calm high than thyphoon but yields less..

Thx for all the great info dyr. It's always interesting to know alot about origins, early/late finnishers etc. about the strains. I have gathered theese seeds for next season, and im wondering if u or anyone could tell anything interesting about them. Did more than nepal and thyphoon originate from Tanska?

That's a great mix you've got there Bom!

The dieselryders we grew smelled alot, 100% auto, tasted great and were very prone to both budrot and powdery mildew. Don't know if the mold thing is common among all autos? I will try Mdanzigs Bluestreak and Sour60 this year.

I hope you keep on growing. I will soon start to prepare for this years outdoors season.
Two months of indoor growing then planting out in may.

Will you try some of esbe's seeds this year? Would be fun to see.

Hey Bom, Koi and Seeker.

Nope, not trying any Esbe gear this year. I had a good mix of genetics going but fucked em up by planting them out too early. Lost all of them so this year (again) it is ALL THYPHOON BABY! I really don't mind at all. Sure, I have gained some tolerance to her but she still serves me well. Perfect daytime smoke. Concerts, partys, anything where you need to function reasonably really. Found a sweet spot where I'll plant about 50 Thyphoons. These will all be used for seedmaking. Let me tell you... Next year will be C R A Z Y ;)

I wanna spread em far and wide and get them growing in the wild.

We'll see how that works out.

I'm on 55 NL.
