mhm you met syba - thats nice , i knew he is still @ pg , he´s one of the old cw guys like i am ....

dro : there will be no problem and you dont have to pollinate all plants either ... , just flower the male until 21 days and then put a plastic bag over his head and tie it around @ the bottom of the plant so the pollen sacks will be catched by the bag , after 14 days with bag remove the whole plant to avoid unwanted pollination .
Remove the bag and put everything on a white sheet of paper so " see" the pollen easily .. let it dry out a few days and store it in a dark container in the frigde ; take it when you need it , just dip a a small brush in and bruise carefully against the lower branches ( 28-35 days is perfect for a 9-10 week finisher to get fully ripe seeds in the normal harvest window ..)
for keeping sure that the remaining plants dont get pollinated too , just spray all plants with tap water after 1 or 2 plants have been pollinated ( better to leave the grow when pollinating - air borne spores ! )

hope that helps

Fj
PS:for male selection criteria , read some former pages of my thread or pm me

^^^what fj said dro about the breeding is (right on)

my TFB seeds were made from 1 big seed crop ....but I knew I wanted a ton of seeds and I had a good amount of cured weed to afford 1 big seed crop.

I have had real good luck w/ selective polination by just polinating a 1 bud or 2 on the plant and leaving the rest sensi.

thats probably what u guys should do

BTW "Blockwreck" sounds super nice....you'll need a male blockhead for that wont ya dro?

i other thing I recommended in another thread is that a real small cabinet just for your male(s) would be a good thing to have.

70 watts industrial hps and a little c4 cab from home depot would do the trick and cost less tha 100 bucks in all.

even a smaller cab. from there would work too (just look in the bathroom cabinet isle...there are lots of nice little ones for cheap)

Blockwreck sounds very fun and interesting. In the process of finishing up my new cab, just gota 600W cool tube with a new digital ballast, these thigns really are quiet and less heat intensive like thet claim, not to mention helping the electric bill. Once this new cab is finished my TFB's will be sprouted along with the Lifesaver X Milkado that are germing as we speak.

Great work here with the TFB projects, and a special thanks to yukon :smoker:

keep up the good green work everyone and stay safe

yes i will so i guess i will have to hunt me a bad muthafucker down :chin:

either way i will most likely build me a cab and use it for breeding i may have to sit down and make a full list of genetics i have and see what i can do :chin:

Ps Happy 4th of july my brothas stay safe and smoke big

Well for my seedlings, I just have a simply heat pad with dome, growing directly in soil with some and peat pellets for the others. The seedlings are bathed under 2 26W cfl's until they reach 1-2 nodes, where they will go under a 400W MH conversion bulb.

For the flowering room, I just picked up a steal from a guy online. I acquired a 600W 6" x 18" cool tube, 600W digital ballast, and 2 HPS bulbs (1 used 1 new) for $150. This 600 will be in a separate room/cab with a inline fan sucking out of the cab. I'm simply awaiting some funds to purchase an inline fan for my cool tube, and I'll be set to go.

That brings me to a question.
What rated CFM fan would you guys suggest if I were to put the cool tube in a c12 or c22 cabinet, exhausting out the top of the cab?
I don't have a problem using a 6" to 4" reductor off the cool tube if all I need is a 4" inline fan to sufficiently keep the cab cool. There will be some pictures to come when I can get the digital camera back and the cab nearly ready.

well boys.... i think i am going to make the executive decision to chop my current plants in flower. the mites have really started to take their toll on the ladies and i don't want them spreading to my veg room. the whole flower chamber needs a renovation and cleaning and i can't do that with these infested plants.

and i can tell that the TFB is not happy. look at her top

and here is the damage from the mites...

any thoughts? i think the best option for that room now is a complete re-start

i dont know how big a c22 or something like that , use 225 m³/h with a 600w and you will be happy ...

nope, it was pitch black in that room (that is only the main cola, all the others seem fine). my best guess is the mites + all the treatments she had (neem, tobacco, waxs, pyrethium)

here the pro's and con's of chopping now:

Pro's:
Less risk of the future generation being affected
Complete Cleaning
New Design

Con's:
Harvesting 2 weeks early :(

so you think i should let mine go even with the infestation?

i just really dont want my next batch to have these problems and it looks like my current plants in flower have been compromised.

I'm not too sure how to measure m³/h

About how many CFM is 225 m³/h?

Also, sorry for jacking the wonderful TFB thread with my ramble

I cant help u on the fan "aba" I have a c13 w/ 450 watts hps and when the lights are ON its open wide and I crank fans in it to maintain right temps....I close it up tight (its sealed real well) at night (yeah it requires me to be here like "clockwork" but I can and do pull it off)

"OG" can u keep the mites away from the others at all?
...if so I'd do at least few days of 10 on 14 off....maybe even 9/15....this will help them finish a bit more mature. (a bit of a yield sacrafice tho).

i guess i could give them another 2 days or so, but i don't like the hassle of having to completely quarentine those plants... it makes going back and forth between chambers a real bitch... and at this point these plants are pretty stunted...

sounds like your ready ta "hit the lights"....can u give them a day or so in the dark....then chop. (will mites survive in the dark?) ...(u guys dont use Fox Farm soil...do you?) my only couple of grows w/ out using FF soil resulted in pests and crap.....even "good" "custom" mixes.

if your in soil... FF is the only way to go.

...i dont know where your pests are coming from otherwise.

i have a feeling the pests came from long ago when the first batch of TFB's hit their 5th node, i put them outside a couple hours a day to harden them off a little. i bet they came in that way

ps if i didn't mention i set the last 4 TFB seeds i had into rockwool cubes yesterday, this morning they had all cracked, so hopefully 2morrow afternoon we can officially welcome four more babies into the family :)

cubic feet per minute I believe. Here in the states, all the inline and blowers are rated by CFM, the more CFM the more powerful the exhaust/blower. I was just trying to figure out what rated CFM fan it would take to keep a c12 or c22 cabinet nice and cool with a 6" cool tube 600W setup.
