I am familiar with Grow Lights Australia from another forum. If I was in OZ, I'd get their lights in a heartbeat. They actively participate in lighting threads, without hawking their products with every other sentence, and push the envelope in lighting technology.
That's what I heard too friend. Their lights are above the mark when it comes to super lighting. Kick ass stuff.

I agree, got a bunch of GLA strips which currently running very well, on par with anything else i built. Its a company which is well resourced:
- access to awesome test equipment with reliable results; it generates not only efficiency numbers but also a digital simulation; you can simulate the throw and spread of their board/strips to get an actual idea of h ow much light will hit your cannopy. Basicly you can generate your own par maps at any hanging height or wattage.
- Same equipment means they can evaluate the real performance of diodes rather than just relying on datasheets and info from diode manufacturers
- Access to specialized diodes made custom for them
- the development of their boards has always been grower based rather than just pure number chasing; they combine great spectrum for growing with excellent efficiency
- helpfull and involved on forums
- water proof boards- you can prepp your boards to be able to hose them down entirely
- also afaik boards being ceiled mean you can burn sulfur without problems

Received my light this week, 530 Quad.
Looks great, quality bit of gear. Will set it up over next few weeks.
Good honest service 👍
PS I don’t think I’ll regret the price, warranty is excellent and forum discount went along way.
Thanks Cortlan
Doubt you will regret it:) the only lights that brings the same quality and yield in our grow is the one i build myself. Still thinking about tweaking the strip build i got from GLA; adding uv 365 and 285 on separate channels would be dope. I hope they start doing their strips in the same flower spectrum as their boards though.

Edit: they also offer bulk discount. Though obviously for a home grower its hard to get to that amount with boards. But with strips its easier. @Cortlan: is there any way i can wink harder towards you re doing your board/flower spectrum in strip form??? Once you do another batch?

Thank you for the kinds words everyone :)

I have not been the most active person on these forums, but I do know PC checks in most days and still has lots of ideas for new lights! It is resources that are the problem as we are only a small company making limited number of lights.

@Rocket Soul there may be the possibility of producing strips with a different spectrum closer to flowering as we do have a few hundred PCBs that have not yet been populated with LEDs but the decision was made at the time to give them a little more blue and green than the flowering boards because they are more of an alround growing spectrum for everything from flowering and fruiting to leafy green. There is not a huge difference between the two spectrums, about 200K. I will post the test reports up for you to compare.

They are quite similar as you can see.
