You see that guy saying deer meat has chemicals in it over in grasscity? 🙄🤣🤣🤣🤡
No, I didn't see that. What chemicals did they suggest venison had in it. And do they suggest all venison has the same chemicals in the meat? Some folks are just uneducated about wild game. Misinformation is also rampant on most social media sites and public television channels.

Treedog is a really nice guy. I'm sure if he posted that he wasn't pulling your leg. The area he lives in may have high PFA's. I can't be 100% sure. But, I think he is also a vegetarian.

I'm going to be making a few different deep water paddles for canoeing. The first one will be an Ash and Walnut laminated Paddle. The design is called a called a Beaver tail. The second one is a Hard Maple and Cherry and the design is called the Voyageur. I glued up the beaver tail last night and just finished gluing up the Voyageur tonight. Tomorrow I will cut them out on the band-saw. Then, I will be shaping for a few days as I'll do it all with hand planes and a spoke shave.

I finished shaping and sanding my Walnut and Ash Beaver tail paddle today. It's hard to get a good picture of it all at once. So I'll just show a few views of the important parts. I'm very happy with how it's turning out. I put a coat of boiled linseed oil on it today.

You must have a seriously nice wood shop and skills to go a long with it. Simply beautiful... K+

What an awesome piece of workmanship Tim, that's something to be proud of right there. I bet that walnut really lightened the weight too. Beautiful job man I love it
Thanks Jay. It's actually under my goal of 1.5 pounds. On my gram scale it weighed 458 grams or 1.01 pounds. It will gain a few more grams of weight with the Spar Varnish.

I'm working on a Cherry and Maple laminate Voyageur style paddle now. I'll post a picture when it has it's sealer coat of linseed oil in it.

I like your craftsmanship, those paddles look great.

I have a ton of hardwood flooring that was given to me i wanna plane it down and see if I can make something cool outta some of it. Any suggestions what would be easy for a semi beginner? Edit what would you do with it if you had a pile of it? Just trying to gather ideas. I have a tablesaw lathe drill press and router.

Cutting boards, wooden utensils, boxes, segmented bowls, picture frames. I'd look online for small projects. I'm sure you'd find something you'll enjoy making.
Just keep in mind that with all the cheap Chinese imports it will be very hard to make any money selling your creations.

I was thinking Christmas gifts this year. I wouldn't know where to sell stuff around here we all are broke haha! Hoping this economy starts to boom again soon. Possibly fixing the Chinese import problem as well.
