i can't see the horizon

what a forest.

Heavily wooded frost forest...or heavily flowered actually. The Satty's in the back are 6 feet tall...untamed old school stuff.:tiphat:

Just think of all the products cannabis fiber could replace instead of forest products..this stuff produces serious material even as inbred indoor medicinal Indica/Sativa hybrids,IBL's,etc.

Just for historical purposes here is the history of the original 'The One'...(robbed from Stankies thread) There is another 'the one' out there that came along many many years after the original 'The One'...and the original 'The One' straight stomps on 99% of the big name trendy stuff.
This is the female clone only (I acquired from a respectable and good friend) from 1984 that mothered TO x BMR

Quote;
T.O. [The One] History

"The female of this cross was an IBL acquired in late 1970/early 1971 from the BOEL[Brotherhood Of Eternal Love] in Laguna Beach. These were seeds from the Kandahar region in Afghanistan.

The male was from a seed group acquired in late 1976/early 1977 from the initial Thai sticks imported into Southern California. The packs were in 22 kg. bundles. 20 kg. were Thai sticks - bamboo sticks tied with silk thread. The differences in the actual color of the threads designated the specific production region/district. The 'other' 2 kg. in the bundles were 'un-tied Thai buds' (aka 'dealer's choice') and it was from this initial/original shipment (around Christmas 1976) that these seeds originated.

2 IBL seed groups. The Kandahar seeds were 're-generated' in 1978 in 2 processes. One was in a greenhouse set-up and the other was a traditional 'grow room' with HID lights.

The seeds from both of these breedings were mixed to insure genetic diversity. Or at least as it was understood by the rag-tag group of pollen chuckers. LMAO

In August of 1983 the 2 seed groups were crossed and the seed collected and cataloged. In the spring of 1984 a large number of this breeding (F1) were germinated and through a process it resulted in 10 specific phenotypes - one of which was the T.O. and another that is floating around known as T.B.O. - twin sisters as it were.

The T.O. will give you massive resin set. The 'high' is rather unique. The Thai influences definitely come through but are tempered by the Indica genes. Still though in the end the final product, correctly cured (about 5 - 6 weeks) will give the grower some of the finest medical/recreational cannabis you'll ever have the chance to enjoy.

I've been growing the T.O. for 27 years and having tested over 75 'real-deal strains' I've never moved away from this cross in spite of the many 'challenges' associated with this level of sativa (Thai) genetics."

Not bad for bagseed from the 70's.....

Thanks Bro...I had to post the info. about the 1st TO that's been around since 1984...for history's sake.

I mean WTF is this....besides a mess? The One..LMFAO!

I'm sure most recognize this from another place down the enter-net.....
Unknown or Legendary - The One

F1 Blueberry Sativa X Killa Queen/NYCD
a beautiful plant which does not continue to grow long in flowering. I called her The One because she has such a beautiful shape.
The selection found place in 2006 and we used the blue pheno to make jackberry and we used nr 46 (the one) to make Killing Fields.
nr 46
She is THE lady.she was from the beginning the nicest growing plant, with the typical blue smell in here.
After some weeks off flowering the smell turned more pungent sour, during the latest stadia off flowering the plant has a nice kombi off both worlds.Something like grape-berry

Are you able to wade in there and tend to them? Doesn't look like any space for paths.

Walking on a 'secluded beach' I found a rather nice replacement for perlite, rice hulls, etc.
This is a nice material to incorporate in my soil mix....as much as I can carry in 5 gallon buckets.
These are bits of sea shells washed up in along rows on the beach. I'm thinking calcium, drainage, aeration, and nice little homes for micro-life. I'm also thinking about 25 gallons on the next recycle...maybe more....and yes that is a gigantic cannabis roach in the bottom of the first picture.

Good idea Capn. Loads of oysters and stuff on the beaches around here. Good excuse to do a spot of fishing at the same time :D

That VR x NL#5 is only at 5 weeks? Is that correct?

Heh........

RR

She is one week behind the rest..that pic would be 4 weeks..and loaded with F2's...so the flower formation has halted and all the energy went into making seeds...very nice smell, all the calyxes are frosty and the has a beautiful structure and leaf pattern.

I'm guessing around 500 seeds in which there will be some kind of godhead. Velvet Rush x NL#5/Neville's Haze needs a name......
There are some interesting frost developments on the regular Velvet Rush...they keep improving as they age.....and smell great.

Other stuff:
TO x BMR are growing 6 feet from a HPS and 5 feet from a MH, This was done on purpose from seed to get an idea of how they perform at that distance from the light. That way I can weed out the ones that don't perform at greater distances from a light source.

Wurd...I get way better effects and kinder buzz from the older stuff...and it's got legs for dayz. I figure it's proly due to cannabis's legality. If it were legal proper breeding would have been done from the beginning by serious professionals.
Types would be patented, the junk that that goes by so many popular names now is a prime example of accidentally breeding for all the wrong reasons. Disease and pest resistance, strong stems, drought tolerance,etc...all overlooked for higher potency and big flowers. Weak ass plants that can't hold up flowers, are susceptible to attack from pests and disease, poor root systems.etc.

A general lack of paying attention to the medicinal and enjoyable effects when breeding...more types than ever before produce undesirable effects for experienced smokers these days. I have let types go that had more frost than 'The One' simply because the effect sucked balls or it tasted like shit. Headaches, anxiety, paranoia, etc. to name a few of the undesirable effects... The longer you partake in the good herb in your life, the more you realize what's BS when you see/grow/smoke it.
I'm 30 years into being high and 25 years into growing...I know what's good...;)
