I have a buddy who's doing it under the OMMP, and he sked his landlord before he signed his lease if it was cool to grow iti n the basement. Landlord said he didn't care what they did as long as rent was paid on time.

That's the kind of landlord I'd like to have!

^THats how most landlords should be. But its funner doing it in a retarded stingy picky landlords house. Its just so funny how we grow under our landlords noses and he cant do a damn thing. We live in Oaksterdam, he can kiss our ass. He has no idea yet, he just knows we have a secret room, but we are thinking abuot having my roomate dress up in a gimp suit the next time landlord comes over, and play it off like the grow room is actualy a secret sex dungeon.

Nah... Up here, if a landlord says he doesn't mind, that's a blessing that I'd never take advantage of. Hell, 60% of the populace up here smokes ganja anyway, so it only goes to figure that some landlords wouldn't care!

I have actually done this for the past 10 years and it's worked very well. Sadly it backfired a bit, and the wife now has her own tomato plants growing in the kitchen too (they're slowly spreading across the house).

Big tip: If you're going to be replacing a floor (I tore up the carpet to put in tile) it's pretty easy to put a hatch into a crawlspace if your house has one.

yeah, it's just hard to pull out the hydro-blueberries and tomatoes OUT OF NOWHERE within 24 hours. Of course, you could set up an extra unit or so to house some "emergency plats"

has anyone here hardened their house, as in put in reinforced doors, hinges, etc? i just got a book on defensive architecture and design that looks great but i haven't had time to read it.

after watching that dea show with the moron's grow house and seeing those pigs spend all that time trying to kick in that barred door it has got me thinking. it might not hold them long, but any time to do something (call lawyer, destroy records, load rifle and arm explosives - whatever floats your boat) would be nice.
