Think you're getting busted? Don't tear your room down!

Haha, some of you need to calm down.

This is a stoner forum where we toss around various ideas. This is just another one of them. Shit, the only way to come up with truly great ideas in a "community" is to brainstorm and share opinions. That's what we're all here for. Smoke another one and relax fellas :joint:

And who says this just has to be about raids? Sure, the idea started that way, but it's pretty clear to me that it'd be a very effective thing to do in a surprise visit from a landlord. It's easier to have the veggies going and just swap things out than it is to tear down and set up again, all the while hiding the fact that there was a growroom there.

Some of this info is just waste of time. I dont understand why you just dont go outdoors. With all the worry in some states about imprisonment for herbs.
Then you dont have to worry about landlords and pulling down lights and setups
Just a thought. That big ole sun is the biggest metal halide bulb there is.

I'll help you understand why we don'tjust go outdoors - not all of us are in a position or place where we can.

With a landlord I wouldn't want anything grow related at all in the residents. They may become concerned about safety issues and other things that they may not be willing to understand.

With cops, ya clean it all up and not so much as one tiny flake of trim, no pipes, not even that one seed that rolled under the fridge.......nothing!

Then you could probably even "sue" them if they give you a hard time and there probable cause turned out to be improbable. Then again even growing a legal plant that is known to have intoxicating properties may not be a good idea, it would depend on your local community.

I'd have some roses or something and a bunch of gay porn on my computer, they won't stay long! Nothing like a big fat schlong to scar off the po po and make them fear a lawsuit for harassment.

how good on an idea is this?ive contantly thought about doing this, just in case im getting rushed,i flush all the cannabis plants, and still have only veggies liike peppers, tomatos, etc and other legal shit..under the lights....instead of trying to tear down the grow op...this will surely be suspicious..but if i just leave thew grow op,and tell the cops

Not if you were growing bonsai hops in a areoflo or water farm.

Just say it's for brewing, and have some beer going. Just watch hops around dogs, it can trigger MH and kill them if eaten.

yeah a sudden immediate raid youd be screwed, I was tipped and forwarned. its been a month and im so small time in the scheme of things. But in the meantime im farmer john and have sweet bells, jalapeno hybrid, lots of amish heirloom maters, and green onion. plus half a dozen packs of seeds laying around like herbs, flowers and peas. Im just interested in keeping and justifying the thousands of dollars of equipment...And grow indoors due to economic conditions which heightens theft, feral cats digging and knocking over my pots filled with organics, and roving bands of children with mischief on their minds.

thats why i love the grow tents cuz they make for easy and pretty fast set ups and taking them down isn't shit either. And the only thing with the landlord is say you had switched the plants out and he seen them and it was all good and then you end up switching the plants back out and your landlord tipped off the 50 about some suspicious activity/or growing in one of his properties but i guess he wouldn't have much to go off of since he had seen legal plants in the grow box

If he did tip off barney, they'd more than likely do a "knock and talk" - swing by, knock on your door, ask if you're doing anything illegal or know of someone who is... They'd look for any reason they can to come in though, and if they smell ganja or see anything that'd give them probable cause, they can and will come in, so be careful.

Personally, I leave all my ganja stuff in the back rooms, and my living room/kitchen area is immaculate, so there wouldn't be an issue if leo did look around while standing outside the open door talking to me. Then again, if I see leo, I'm not opening the door. If they had a right to be inside, they wouldn't be knocking - they'd be knocking the door down.

My friend is in this exact situation, he has his green card but his landlord is having the maintenance guy and her check out the hot water heater she says. Anyways hes just gonna use a van and put all his plants in it and drive to a friend grower who will take care of them.

The only thing that i was thinking is that can a landlord give the leo a consent to search because of him owning the house that i live in?

Absolutely not. You're the leaseholder, they're the landlord. A landlord can't enter without a 24 hour notice and they certainly can't legally open the door for police unless there is a warrant involved.

I own way too many supplies which just scream that this is not a tomato grow house. I think I'd have to live a super-stealth life to be able to pull off the "oh this is a tomato garden" story on a moment's notice. I have enough trouble keeping everything in order without adding that layer of complication...so I'm going to just get the hell away if I ever think I'm about to get raided and regroup...

thechroniceye - It may be a good idea to google your state's landlord/tenant laws to see what rights a landlord does have in your state, and also to understand your rights as the tenant.

Never hurts to know your rights in case they're ever violated.

Sounds like a good idea, but my landlord would still fret if he saw me growing indoor hydroponic tomatoes.

We just man up and tear it down everytime, luckily for us we are only running 3 or 4 lights and under 50 plants so it only takes us 3-4 hours to tear down.

Speaking of that, our bitcha$$ landlord is visiting sometime within the next week, and i have 30 flowering plants right now haha.

He was actually at the grow room door the other month begging us to open the door, and we told him "Sorry we dont consent to search, bring a 24 hour notice"

He is a lazy fuck so he hasnt gotten back to us yet LOL.
