WWI, before antibiotics, they dripped diluted bleach into wounds and saved many soldiers from death by infections.
In the 1920s Calvin Coolidge was sick with rose fever and the Department of Chemical Warfare said they could cure him with Chlorine gas (vaporized bleach) and they did. They had been curing flu, pneumonias, infections with it. After that Coolidge had a doctor and a chlorine gas chamber installed in the White House and would cure friends of various ailments.
Fauci knew this too. He had to know, it was his job, he learned about this in his studies. He decided to let the media let Trump sound like an idiot. It was a very good question... "Can we use bleach?".

I acknowledged that hay fever is not an infection. Doesn't matter. They still tried it. It also worked on infectious type stuff. The left always misses the point and tries to spin things. The point is it was never a dumb question. It had a basis in history. The media and left were the dumb ones for not knowing how good of a question, "What about bleach?", actually was. However, the sneaky, criminal, Fauci couldn't explain that to people. He was too busy working with China on gain of function studies and making the common cold a COVID killer. The media covered that up too. The democrats knew and were part of it.
