Explain how electricity prices are going to go down 50%. How is that going to happen? Where is all the surplus electricity that's needed to bring prices down going to come from? By drilling more oil? We're already drilling more oil than we ever have in history.

I'm not surprised that so many don't have even a basic understanding of the fundamentals that control pricing. People living in a social media bubble sharing nonsense amongst each other. What does me being wrong about the election have to do with you being wrong about the price of electricity coming down 50%? I noticed you didn't bother to address that so you deflected to the "You were wrong" regarding something completely unrelated to the price of electricity. If anything the rates are going to go up even under trump. Has nothing to do with who the President is. The costs to maintain the electric grid are passed onto the customers. There has been a lot of damage to that grid with the wildfires out west and the hurricanes in the east. Guess who pays to repair that.

As the demand for electricity increases the price will continue to go up. The massive build out for data centers means that there is going to be significantly higher demand as they come online. There is only so much power generation available. It takes years for new power plants to be built and start producing electricity. The cost is going to go up for everyone. It wouldn't matter if Harris won or trump won. It's just a fact and out of the control of the President.

Amazon is trying to get some nuclear SMR's built to supply the power they're going to need. SMR's are small modular reactors. They know the price of electricity is not going down so they're being proactive and are going to ensure that they have their own source of electricity. Whatever viral post being shared on social media you got the idea the price was going down is just pure nonsense.

People are going to push all kinds of garbage because that's how they make their living.

Electricity prices will drop as well because they will save huge amounts on gas (liquid and vapor). Steam generators need gas for coal delivers by trucks and their huge fleets of vehicles.
Drill baby drill will reduce food cost, healthcare costs, military cost... the cost of everything.

So I'll make it easy. The total currently is around 13 million less than 2020. The 17% that hasn't been added because the votes are still being added is larger than 13 million.

How is the price of gas going down? We're drilling more today than we ever have. Barrels of oil drilled are at historic highs. The price of gas is controlled by supply which has been manipulated for decades. The refineries are already producing all the gasoline they can. It takes a decade or more to bring a new refinery online.

Last I looked cars don't burn oil. So having all that oil sitting around does nothing to increase the supply of gasoline. Lets not forget the fact that most of our refineries are not using the oil we drill ourselves. They were designed to use what's called "sour oil" which has a higher sulfur content. It's not feasible to switch those refineries over to using the "sweet oil" which we mostly export.

The drill baby drill mentality show just how little most understand about the complexities of the price of gas. We don't refine what we're drilling. So drilling more won't bring down the cost of gas. Even if we were refining the type of oil we're drilling we don't have the refinery capacity to turn it into gasoline at the present time and trump will have passed away from old age before any new refinery will come online.

What happens in the Middle East and Venezuela has more of an impact than how much more oil we drill because it's the "sour oil" that we refine into gasoline. The majority of our gasoline is refined from Canadian oil obtained by fracking and not oil we drill.
