Did you need to reverse the f1s?
No males showed up, so you reversed 50%?
I think I might have to sts reverse my c99xabc. I have two females that are throwing more pistils every day. Soon it may be too late to reverse them. I am waiting for two more plantlets to show sex, really hoping for a male so I can do a regular cross. The f2s that show freak leaves I don't mind reversing. But ideally I would like to use regular pollen for the first two filial crosses.
The c99 f1s grow so much quicker than the regular abc. The reg abc are still only ten cm tall and are nowhere near showing preflowers. So the possible pollen from reg abc will arrive too late to use on the c99 hybrids in any case. That would also be a poor choice, as it probably would negate the potency increase from the c99 if backcrossed to abc.
I am rooting for your little auto bastard!
Soon she will give us the first semi auto seeds in this thread!
My abc x auto jack will follow two months behind..

Nice, yeah I'd recommend sts probably sonner the better. F2s will beat a backcross I'd assume

I had put in 3 F1s but wildlife took out all but 1 a also my first auto bastard.

So I was left with 1 female so thought I'd self pollinate so I could at least get a handful of seeds. And they should be 1:4 bastards all fem.

The auto bastard is good fun. Grows faster (taller but not dense shub like) already smells good! I'm really liking Auto and think I'll use it in my ideal cross

Interesting note. There seems to be a small portion of self topping ABC's in the site 4. Helps with the shrub like structure

How long is the total grow period for the abc? I understand it is slow, but man, these are really taking their time.. Still about 15cm tall and just a handful of pistils. The c99xabc f1 are in midflowering already.. In a few weeks they can be harvested, while the abc seems to have months left..

According to the dates of my posts, the abc are two months old now, 8-9 weeks.
They are grown in a tiny pot, that didnt seem to speed up the process.
I have dusted then with pollen from aut Jack herer, hopefully this means f1 and onwards will be quicker than this..

I'd say the heirloom ABC's have a long juvenile period as they have landrace sativa traits. Takes a while for them to enter flowering.

A large root zone is definitely important for bastard plants. The roots seem to grow at a regular rate while the folage is slow. A small bastard has a large root system.

Likely that a long flowering equatorial hybrid might be the key to getting the auto bastard 1.0 bigger.

Finally seeing some flowers.
Guess it was a mistake leaving the abc to flower in such a small pot. Two plants, even..

The female is pollenated with Auto Jack Herer. The male will pollenate a female Auto Jack and female auto cinderella jack as well as giving me some more regular abc seeds.

The c99 x abc F1 is far ahead. I reckon halfway in flower? Has no abc traits whatsoever, as expected.

Would it be possible for you to take a close-up pic of both sides of one of the ABC leaves?

Are you going to try to hit the c99 x abc that's already flowering to make some F2s?

I will try, but my phone has poor close up function.
Yes, I will try to hit the flowering f1s with pollen as soon as it is shed. Need as many f2 seeds as possible for selection of recessive phenos. I assume the reversed f1 will automatically be selfed and also provide some seeds.

This is as close as my Phone camera will shoot. I'm sorry about the poor quality.

Good to see those c99 f1s. They look good. I regret not grabbing a F1 from an elite clone.

Thanks, Liltree. I reckoned buying an f1 would save me some time upping the potency through an outcross. If this c99 is an elite clone, it would be even better. I guess it's a good plant, coming from humboldt csi. This f1 looks quite c99 to me, but there is no grapefruit smell, rather a resin smell..

Thanks for the closeups!
They are great and show exactly what I wanted to see.

I am on 59N.
Ace was kind and offered me to buy some seeds of an unreleased S1 version of their Auto Malawi, that apparently has some foxtailing. Would like to go for a Foxy Bastard for maybe some more stealth. Hope the foxtailing trait passes over!

Right on, frassekongo! Hope you get a lot of seeds in f2 to search for the foxtaily pheno.

F2 seeds are forming on the c99 x abc. I will get a handful of fem seeds. Hopefully there will be freak leaf phenos within them, with better potency than the pure abc.

This is a site 4 showing the same structure as my earlier run. Definitely got that stealth look
