The filing, first reported by ProPublica and found on Page 161 of 166 of a bundle of documents released last week by the General Services Administration, says the trust that owns hundreds of Trump businesses "shall distribute net income or principal to Donald J. Trump at his request," or whenever his son and a longtime employee "deem appropriate."

Trump and his attorneys have pointed to the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust as a response to widespread worries from ethics lawyers, who have said Trump's refusal to divest ownership of his company creates the potential that he can derive personal profit from his public office.

Glad you asked, this is the backstory as I understand it. It was about his Atlantic City casinos and their bankruptcy. You can take the deduction if you were to walk away with nothing. But part of the deal was that tRump was to be given 5% of the new company. He took both, but was only entitled to one, so the IRS said "Fuck you! I want my money back!".... and here we are.


Today that new company tRump owns 5% is gone. I don't know if he made anything off of it but I doubt it. Atlantic city didn't work out so well. If he didn't get greedy he would have been entitled to the tax refund. He wanted both.... oh well. What can you say?

If I donate my earnings maybe I can get a whack at living in the White House. Play unlimited golf, have my family travel the world for free, stay at the most posh hotels, give my family members offices in the WH, and have tons of poor people go to bat for me because of how tough I'd have it.

He paid almost no federal income tax...
He filed returns... if the amount isn’t enough the irs will recoup the funds.
If he paid what he owed according to the tax code then wgaf? I don’t.
I’ll never knock anyone for paying the federal govt as little as possible.
