My post wasn’t in response to the story of the staged photo “knee to neck story”, but the publication as a whole.
For example, there was a headline about antifa terrorists involved in the anarchic destruction occurring in Portland, yet there was zero evidence in the publication that the rioters in Portland were members of antifa. Also, rioting is NOT terrorism. The fake “liberals are racist because of a Yale study” article that was thrown around recently is another example. The headline had zero to do with the study that was “quoted”. I can cite other examples if you’d like. They throw toxic headlines around to get clicks and to get exposure in facebook, twitter, etc, but the underlying info is BS.

To be fair, most of those statues went up 40 years after the war when it was very politically popular to side with the klan. They were a major force in politics.

It didn't have much to do with what you described.

It's clear that you have no idea what you're talking about. Most of those statues were put up in the civil rights era by racists.

The statues were put up in a time when racism was ok for some. Its not ok now for anyone. This is a part of history to be ashamed of, not to memorialize. Hitler was a part of German history. Do they have monuments celebrating his doings?

Zeez, maybe it´s interesting for you. Of course we have no celebration days or monuments for Hitler or the 3rd Reich, but every 4/20, people of my generation or older make jokes about Fuehrers birthday. He leaves a invincible monument in the brains.

discussions focused around statues is another way for the right to change the discussion of systemic racism to "omg think about the poor statues and mcdonalds stores!"

they did the same thing with BLM - "ah theyre just some trained marxists sponsored by Soros"

they did the same thing with George Floyd - "ah but he was using counterfeit money and was high on drugs"

That's not a fact. Some believe it was a community effort. They did have slaves in Egypt. They did not have the necessary skills to do the work. Evidence has shown the people that worked building the pyramids eat like kings to keep there community healthy.
