I have always had a theory that the strong trippy weird paranoia high of south east Asian weed was a major reason for the Nazi like drug laws that can get u executed. People smoke it and think they are loosing their sanity because their paranoid just like you think your mouth is on fire from eating hot peppers. Then they believe the drug is pure evil like their government says because it either made them or a friend feel very uncomfortable from the high.

I think you can grow weed that is just as trippy if not better than outdoor Thailand grown sativa if you grow something like golden tiger or zamaldelica indoors under a regular grow light supplemented with many vertical ReptiSun cfl UVB lights and rich magnesium for the plant to make sunscreen trics. I have seen many posts on boards saying this makes the weed more trippy and potent but im surprised to see it is not talked about more. I think people want to keep their uvb lights a secret to have an edge over the competition.

A buddy and I still recall a single, mysterious bag of weed from the '90s that stood out from the millions of other random bags from that era due to it's time-slowing properties. We kinda thought it was doctored with something at the time, but it wasn't any kind of racy/altered high, just one of those rare almost-psychedelic experiences, and with 20 more years of hindsight I'd guess it was probably just a special example of a long-flowering asian sativa that trickled down into newb hands/heads for once. I wish I had the time/light available to go hunting for something like that in my closet garden.

Folks may laugh and sneer, but if I'm honest the only thing I've personally stopped growing for being "too much" was a heavy indica pheno of Greenhouse Seed Co.s Cheese (I believe Big Buddha Cheese is the same thing, FWIW). The reasons wasn't so much potency, as it just knocked me the fuck out (and gave me weed hangover into the next day, or else it woulda been great for insomnia). I grew it for years, and it was a great plant to grow, tasted/smelled super pungent, like juniper, to the point that it was really hard to get rid of, but it just sucked the fucking life out of you.

I've always heard the British say the seed forms of cheese are never as good as the original UK clone, It's like American sour diesel, the seed form is never quite as good as the clone.

I can't speak much to the specifics of those cut/seed differences, other than the smell & high profile matches the descriptions I've heard. Applying my rudimentary breeding understanding, it seems likely that some elites cuts are an extremely lucky combination of a bunch of recessive traits that do make it almost impossible to reproduce consistently in seed form. On the other hand, all those cuts came from seed at one time too, and every seed has the potential to hit the genetic lottery and be as good as, or even better than it's parent plant(s), and a good (or just equally lucky) breeding process can maximize that potential.

Hey guys, my friend picked up this weed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I believe it's landrace sativa - heart racing, trippy, delusional high with a strong burn out afterwards. V potent stuff! Looks not so great, but it get's me more stoned than the dank indica I've been smoking in Europe!

Any idea where this weed originates? I'm pretty sure it's from the Golden Triangle somewhere (most likely Thailand). It is very very compressed (the edges are so sharp they almost cut your fingers) and it smells very spicey, a bit like hay, bit damp. Tastes like absolute shit lol, very nasty taste. The high comes on very fast and it's very trippy (and I mean incredibly trippy lol. I was pleasantly surprised). I really would like to trace the origins of this very potent brick weed

IMO/ you don't wanna be smoking weed anywhere near Malaysia, or Singapore, once caught you may be hung ...?

Look for Thailand Sativa ...sounds like what you been toking

"Ice" by Female Seeds was the strongest I've smoked. 10 week flower was total nighty night for me. I grew those seeds at least 6 years ago.
