I missed the other post, but found that Jesus one pretty funny, and pretty untouchable as far as accuracy and being on topic.
Why is religion a taboo subject for jokes? I would consider it a ripe environment due to the faith based aspect of its existence

Faith ? I have faith . Having faith is a good thing . It also helps the faith along that what you believe in is the truth . There's plenty of history written and I'll be damned if I know how it got turned into all the different Religions around Earth .
Just because a person has Religion & believes in Jesus Christ or Allah or Abraham or whoever the fuck does not make this person any more/less of a lunatic than a person that worships the Democrat/Republican Party thinking that the Party is going to pull them out of this mess when the Party is solely responsible for the mess you are in & are responsible for every mess in between .
After 50 years of voting in a continuing downward spiral I have only seen things get better for big business & lying thieving Party members when they leave "Public Office" with a pocket full of cash & millions in the bank that owns them & a retirement that gives them 100% taxpayer funded medical & monthly monetary 'til they die .

I haven't read the fable in a long time but I remember he's supposed to have a sword coming out of his mouth so I can imagine a mask would prove difficult at best and useless at the worst.
He's supposed to strike down nations and rule with an iron scepter treading the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God.
And if you sneak a peek back to the beginning of the storybook you're going to find out how furious God's wrath is supposed to be.
