The Simpsons Movie

I laughed out loud several times, but if you expect anything more than a super long episode of the simpsons, you'd be dissappointed... if the simpsons amuses you then the movie certainly will....

Ok, I gotta ask. Was the humor in the movie similar to the first seasons or the later seasons? The first seasons were classics! But I stopped watching the show a few years ago because the show just seemed to get so dumb that is was no longer funny. So did any earlier season fans like it?

It is not like the old seasons. Not very good at all I thought. Definitely was not the old Simpson's humor, I only laughed when I saw Otto hitting the bong...which was about 4 minutes from the end (and maybe 20 seconds). It was a major disappointment to me. Glad I watched it online and didn't have to pay for it. I would have been pissed if I spent money on seeing that......even at the dollar theater.
The Simpson's used to be so incredibly funny, it was the cartoon by which all others were compared. It is sad to see how far you can fall from the top.

My favorite part was where all the people in church ran to the bar and all the people in the bar ran to the church. when spring field was being cased in a dome... haha instant classic. but what happened to the pig?

it wasn't bad. I'm a huge Simpson's fan. Definitely wasn't amazing. But was entertaining. And like a few said , its like a long ass episode. A few parts dragged on, or where a little cheesy, but for the most part , its worth the money to go see.

I would give it a B.

OH and remember when the bomb blows up and it shows a clip of Otto hitting the bong. That was one of the best parts ever.

Yea I thought it sucked. I loved the simpsons all throughout the 90's, but all good things must come to an end. The simpsons used to have a lot of subtle adult humor, and yet at the same time had some silly things your kids could laugh at too.

IMO the earlier seasons used to cater more to adults and younger adults, but these days it really seems like teenagers are their target audience.
