A friend on mine gave me some beans he had for 3 or so yrs. I got some to grow about 4 months ago and have been happy with them. He told me that they were some of the best he had ever had. When these plants were only 6 weeks old if you moved them or brushed them they would and will emit a putrid skunk smell and the buds are tennis to golf ball nuggets. Dark green and very red hairs . When growing the hairs are about 2 in long thick and white. I will post some picts tomorrow of them. They remind me of the ass kicking skunk I used to get in the 70's to 80's.

Skunkbud of old was actually pure afghan indica. I bet it is what lent the terpene signature to the sativa hybrid.

ill try and make some S1's if you guys like .... or does anyone have a Trinity or HP13 or RKS dude to hump my rks chick lol

whats up dude

you could take a few cuttings from your RKS chick...do some light stress to produce male flowers and then share the seeds...best option imo.. most of the of seed will be female but the males in the batch will be awesome...if I had an RKS mom... this is what I would do unless someone has stinky male pollen of Chem Dawg caliber stank or better available...??? self pollinate

I'm pretty sure that this plant is just an Afghan from a certain region of the country..in dreams I ponder that each region of the country(Afghanistan) has Cannabis Indica Afghan but they all have different traits so maybe the plants in the south have a more hashy floral smell while maybe the ones in the east have the acrid smell..it seems to make more sense..anybody feel me on this??

I believe it was someone on this board that sought to collect and catalog the seed and regions of origin for Afghanistan cannabis....

good vibes

here's some pictures I found thought I'd share

KC Brains afghanica special has some putrid smelling individuals and the beans are damn cheap. Buy a pack and keep the most vigorous male's pollen and dump em on your lady.. RKSxAFFIE f1 right there, you can bx or incross from there using only the most deadly smelling/tasting phenos, the start of your own inbred line.

And for this wonderful advice all I ask in return is a small handful of the resulting f1's to find my own killer funky bitch :jump: lol

AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHS.. did you shoot those? :tiphat:

im not a 100% on this but seeing on how SK1 was bred properly
i think will be difficult to reverse

i will try , i have been pretty successful with reversals this outta put my mixure to the test lol

im iffy on using a Chem male since there is no true Chem male,
it would have to been a BXchem and i dont wana deal with recessive gene headaches , and making JJ and chem angry for using there strains... LOL ...kiddin

i had a fem'd afy/Nevhaze i put on the Sk1 , But all that did was make a amsterdam sk strain lol poop

In dreams I imagine said breeder grew out x number of seeds between 1000-5000 and selected the traits desired..

I retract my previous statement as using anything other than the acrid male will produce more potential down grade in putrid smell

keep it going

Purple Pakistani -- SacredTHC has these seeds on lock ..the smell is hard to describe...if you could taste the color purple? it has it's own unique taste and stank when rubbed with the fingers

sad to see so many guns in the field but that's where humans are at this point..

Hey, T2U, have you tried out the BC Roadkill from Cannacopia? I think that you would be a good judge to say whether it is RKS or not.

Hi Everyone,

I'm not exactly new to icmag, I've been here for years but I just started posting and reading regularly. This is a thread that fits me, as an outdoor grower smell isn't an issue and I like it the ranker the better!

I've been growing since I was 17, so about 6 years now. And having done a lot of travel abroad (that is out of the US for me) i've been fortunate to have tried some amazing herb and resin from various geographical locations. My absolute favorite ever was some durban I got straight from africa via MOM. Like electricity up the spine in to the brain.

Anyway, a couple years ago in college an acquaintance of mine called me up and told me he had some amazing herb he was claiming was Jack Herer. These buds were perfect in form, exquisitely manicured, bright lime green, sparkling with perfectly swollen trichomes but most notable for this 1/8 of weed was the odor. Too many days gone by for me to remember exactly what the smell was like but it was intense, it stank up the hallway of my dorm through 3 ziplock bags (which is NOT what this weed should have been kept in but I guess I was ignorant at the time) inside of a drawer. I had friends knocking on my door asking to see the weed that was producing the stench in the hallway. It was mindblowing and eventually I moved the weed out to the car to avoid getting busted by dorm security.

This was in a small town in minnesota from one of the local yokels who said he got it from a grower friend, which I believe because usually you have to know someone to get weed that pretty and that rank.

Do you think it really was jack herer? It seems to me it did have a bit of ammonia smell to it, it was a very sharp, tangy scent I remember. I can smell it but I find it difficult to describe.

Also would anyone mind summerizing where this thread has gone since it started? I read the beginning and I read the last two pages, I just want to know a quick summary of it's evolution so I can participate. I should be able to grow indoor this fall, I've got the lights and the space, but all my energy is on the 100 or so plants I've got going outside right now (not to mention 3 jobs!) So if there's anything I can do to help out I'm in! All the straings I've got going right now except for my skunk #1's and 'White Castle", are bag seeds from many many different varieties. Seems like I've got some juicy fruits in there and some sativas I'm going to have to kill (wisconsin isn't exactly sativa growing territory!), and still waiting on my other girls to go full bloom.

Awesome thread, thanks for working on strains other than fast flowering, low odor, commercial stuff that's all too common!

In the front row in 1 gal bags are the Skunky Grape Skunks that I didn't like... Everyone that smoked it that likes skunk said it was good. It's just not for me. They agreed, it was VERY skunky. I still have 2 GS females that I haven't flowered out. The originals are outside. I'll be putting clones into flower in about 4-5 weeks... Like I said, great plants, just most of them weren't my cup of tea.

It's the taste man. It just tastes foul to me. Like road kill baking in the sun. Every single grape skunk was a quality plant, but there was only one out of the 4 females I flowered that was really grape flavored. Any skunk lovers should enjoy the freebies I make! I'm expecting there to be more grape phenos in the progeny, but plenty of skunk in there too... We'll find out in a couple months.

This isn't some Purple Grape strain, it isn't created using Urkel or Bubba or any other fruity non-scene it is a Skunk Strain straight off of the Pomo Indian Reservation.

Some people need to "READ" before they post.

That is SPAMTASTIC!!!!

Show us how it's done with your Grape Skunk!!

Some people should learn what RKS really is!! It has nothing to do with grapes, and it doesn't have anything to do with something smelling like sun baked roadkill.

It smells like a skunk that has sprayed, no overtones or undertones of grapes and incense, no foul dead animal smell from being sunbaked on a road.

You're seriously trying to say that there can be only one smell for roadkill skunk? That is can't have any variation whatsoever?
