So I reckon if I get a Superskunk and a cheese and cross it I might find more what I'm looking for. Wonder whether Kitchya is coming back with them pics of the cut in Australia.

Hey ozza, what ya lookin for? You might be better off crossing the super skunk with a jack h.

A few friends in Canada say they came upon a few full on roadkill skunks in Shanti's 'Devil' while looking for commercial plants.

They said they got a really roadkill skunk cabbage (no fruitness in the smell) every pack they went through, and the op these guys were doing was able to handle the huge pheno hunt - I think they sprouted damn near 100 seeds or so.

Damn Federal Government, let me go get what should be shared! Either way, figured I'd pass the info along, I'm sure someone here has already mentioned this strain - plus I like to prop shanti's gear as he's one of the most reputable breeders/seed company bossman.

Well any Jack Herer I have had has been a sativa. I'm am not looking for a sativa. We had a skunk cross sativa back in the day and it was a magical plant. I had heard of people planting that strain in 2km rows amongst cotton plants.

Was gonna order it, but after hearing that theres no real R.K.S around anymore, I went for Nevilles Haze instead.
Im getting some free fem seeds of Dinafems Deep Cheese which Im concidering X'ing with the GG#4 if the DC comes out very skunky.

Thanx Fly!
Fruity? Damn that sucks! Bland fruity at that.
Sorry you had to waiste your time, $, and space on that garbage Fly.
Even todays Super Skunk isnt as skunky as you would hope it would be.
I had an old school cut that truly reeked and lost it. Flowered out the last clone by accident thinking I could just grab another cut from the dude. Didnt happen.
Im still kickin myself in the ass for that one years later.

Skunk is some of my fav smoke. Im looking for that skunk that smells like you just lifted up a skunks tail and it sprayed you in the face type skunk weed.
I guess Ill have to breed some cheese, chems, GG#4, skunks, and some good columbians and try to make a good skunk strain of my own.

Hey ozza, the thing is the jack is 1/3 super skunk to begin with. So when recombined the like geans will pair up and the rest will segregate. Then you can chose sides indica / sativa .

I find it hard to believe that this pheno is not already found. I was shocked to see 100+ pages here. Something is fishy because if breeders even have a skunky smelling mother then they would produce many skunky smelling offspring (it shouldn't be that hard to find), and if it were impossible to breed in then they would just take cuts off the mother and grow flowers with it instead of seeds. Not one person has found that rare skunk pheno, so TBH I don't think any breeder has the genetics to even label their strains skunk or their seeds would be flying off the shelf. I used to think it was just a matter of luck and now I'm thinking everyone is trying to find it by buying seeds from breeders that didn't have it to begin with. We are just spinning circles here. Am I wrong? Who has the skunk?

Did you and Rob ever get to try any of your South African sk1 efforts or were they all lost?

Let me answer that

My uncle was buddys with Quick Silver Messenger Service

Happy trails to you.

If you read through them all you can see it has been found occasionally. Nine out of 10 times in Northern California, and the others in places like Canada, Washington, Oregon, etc. This thread has run 9 years now and there is not a single person from Europe or ROW yet who has found it.

Skunk tale

Skunk tale

In the spring of 1987 I was doing community service for my first DUI. I was finished with my service around June and I had an acquaintance that was about to go to prison for some other crimes. I had just gotten married to my 2nd wife (a beautiful young French Canadian girl) and we needed a place to stay. Not having much money Chris my acquaintance from the service had a small piece of land in a rather rural part of the county that he needed someone to watch while he did his time. I was thrilled to find a place for free and went to see the trailer we were going to live in for the rest of the year. The trailer sat on a beautiful piece of land at the end of a two mile dirt road and was very isolated. Chris didn’t live at the trailer, he used the place just to party at. He and his pretty little wife were swingers and the trailer was a place for swinging parties. Chris couldn’t smoke dope because he was being tested weekly but he could do speed and coke which he did in excess. The trailer was old and the front door had no lock, there was no hot water and the water came from a pump that had to be turned on to have running water inside. Of course no air conditioning but we did have power and the inside was really plush with over stuffed leather couches and water beds. We walked around the property that had apple trees, grapevines, fig trees and a chicken coup. After a while Chris said “one other thing” I have some weed growing and he wanted us to water the plants. We started walking through this huge briar patch and I could smell it. Skunk, road kill skunk, the odor was over powering and we weren’t even close to the plants yet. I thought from the smell it was a whole field of plants but when we arrived it was only four big females just starting to flower (July). I didn’t know anything about growing but the plants were at least 6ft high and rather sparse with big wide fan leaves. Chris called them skunk plants and said they needed water every few days depending on rain. Closer to the trailer her had a few more plants growing that were not skunk. These plants had no smell and no pre flowers but were much bigger and taller. He said they were Mexican and they had very narrow leaves and were really huge.
Chris went to prison and we started taking care of the place. It was a hot summer in NE GA and with no air conditioning making it was miserable during the day. It was also dry, no weed to be bought anywhere so I started taking the tips off the huge Mexican plants for something to smoke. I was happy to have something and it didn’t seem to bother the plants. I soon started hating carrying 5 gallons of water down to the skunk plants, it was hot and a long difficult walk from the trailer. By August the skunk was in full bloom with big buds forming all over the four plants, the smell was incredible. Then one day in late August two big redneck guys came to the trailer saying they worked for Chris and were here to check on the plants. They checked out both the skunk and Mexican plants saying they would return in three weeks to harvest the skunk. So in mid-September they harvested the now pretty big skunk plants. They just cut down the plants and hung them in the small barn we had, no trim or anything and they left. Now the whole place reeked of unmistakable skunk and it could be smelled all the way down the driveway. When the rednecks came to get the now dry skunk they brought Chris’s strange but sexy wife with them. I told her we couldn’t stay any longer because the skunk smell and now the Mexican plants were over 12ft tall and very obvious. She said she understood then asked about having a threesome with my wife and I (another story). We packed up and moved to a brand new apartment (with air) but I was given a gift of both the skunk and immature Mexican buds, maybe a qp in all. The skunk was so strong we couldn’t smoke it in the apartment, having to out in the woods for one or two hits at a time. The effect of the skunk was probably 10 times stronger than the Mexican but also a much different high as well. The skunk was very narcotic and tasted just like black Paki hashish. That was the only time I saw an RKS plant but I could still buy buds up until the 90s. For years I always thought skunk was just a term for Indica because the skunk plants had very fat leaves.

Hi guys new here and...

Hi guys new here and...

I'm growing RKS x DC from cannacopia,

iv got 4 of them, just started veg quickly and I'm wondering how
to identify the death phono if i have one, i notice 1 is much bigger, nodes much farther apart and even the leaf stems are very long and the leafs seem more saliva ( thin and long narrow fingers ) and the main stem is very thick and has a tomato plant smell, kinda sour. reminds me of a hothouse tomato plant. ill have to go check the smell of the other rks plants because i haven't yet.

the other seedling strains growing along are cannacopia chunky cheese,
deep chunkolate, was hoping i would have some dc x c99 but not a single seed cracked open during germination.... also from Jordan of the isles: God bud x go kush and hash berry. then 4 cotton candy kush seedlings from herb that came from the compassion club that where amazingly healthy. non have a smell yet but this big lanky RKS x DC.

any help on the identifying known possible phonos would be great.

I wish I knew how to edit my post, my tablet runs an auto word finder and it changes my words, like I go to type " sativa. And and I have to place a period after or else it will force spell saliva.

So sorry for the strange words that appear.

So yea i need help selecting phenotypes for breeding
I'm aiming to find a nice smelling phenotype. From bc rks x deep chunk. Hopefully I'll be able experience the death pheno for myself.

So 1 of my rks looks way more sativa, but think it might be male
As its tall with stout branches and longer spaces between internodes?. can't tell maybe, either way along as this it's a keeper I don't care. I'm after nice mothers and nice male genetics. I'll send some pics when I get some time. Thanks in advance for help guys

Grundy if you press backspace after it changes your word it should change it back to what you originally spelled. At least thats how it works on my android tablet.

Grundy, The RKS x DC is an amazing outdoor plant other than the mould issues. There are astrigent skunk phenos that are more sativa and smell like permanant markers, there are phenos that are straight deep thick rich skunk smell/taste (DC phenos) and then there is a variation that probably shows itself in 1 or 2 out of 10 times and it is like the DC dom phenos with an added rot/meatyness too it. You can find these phenos by rubbing the stem during veg and smelling it. Should smell like meat lol
