The rediculous perceptions of the every day smoker

People ask, "How do you know all this shit?" I just tell 'em, "Go look - it's all over the internet!" Don't have to admit to growing to turn folks on the the truth. The info is out there if you look for it. As to how I always have such good weed, well, you know, a friend of a friend's brother in law...

you raise all good points. i have a pal who doesnt know so much about growing and strains as he thinks he knows, but at least he's not the arrogant type. some people just prefer to gain "knowledge" by hearing friends talkin', not by trying and learning themselves.

I've been growing for years and always gain new ideas and insight from novices, arrogance and delusions of being a kingpin are learning curve killers.

I know a number of folks who fit this bill, and not just about our favorite plant. While I realize some people have different ways of learning, the type who must be told everything can get pretty wearing, ya know? And when they listen to people who don't really know, well, I think that's how some end up with some pretty skewed opinions and downright wrong ideas that they then pass on to others. Sometimes its not even worth arguing, sometimes you have to make them see the light. Most times I find myself trying to shed light, oftentimes its frustrating! But its well worth the time and effort if someone listens and learns!

It's definitely an issue of misinformation. But, in this culture how do we get these people educated, IF they want to be educated. I find a lot of the same problems and I am guilty of them as well. But, I took to reading and talking to find out those misconcepters were.. misconceptions.

I say instead of looking down on the ignorant, SMOKE WITH THEM. Show them something - the truth. I am still pretty "green" myself but among my circle of friends, I am their marijuana guru! LOL. But, I know, and tell, about these real growers here on this forum or guys like Jorge Cervantes and Soma (just the names off the top of my head).

At the same time, there are some people out there who really don't care. I have a friend who's had all that good stuff before and he prefers the subtle high he gets from schwag. To each his own! Personally, I like to be put to sleep because of my issues sleeping at nights! Or, I'll take a few puffs if I want to slow down this wild hyperactive mind I've got so I can concentrate on a particular project.

These are the things I show my friends so they can understand that there's more to marijuana than just "gettin fucked up" and so they don't look stupid and ignorant around others who ARE in the know, so to speak.

I have friends who would never have thought about growing marijuana until I decided to start my own grow with the help of my brother! Now, I can talk about with some intelligence and let them know facts and figures. I've already got a few people interested in their own small-form setups!

It's all about bringing fire to the people! Are you going to play a god and keep it to yourself or are you going to be the titan, Prometheus, and give the people what they need to survive these cold nights (their ignorance)?
