I dont know, I guess its just different for people, I only smoke weed with my homies usually, so I don't really have to care about them suspecting anything.

I'm with Qwerty, the thread name could be better.

I appologise. When I say "everyday", i mean that in the context of typical, not as in daily smokers - nothin wrong with that :D

im with you guys! i dont smoke with very many people for this very reason. i would love to be able to educate these people with what little i know but at the same time, i cant afford to look experienced. ignorant people are in all walks of life, just ignore them and move on to the next person. unfortunately, weed attracts already ignorant people so they have something to blame it on.

Don't you hate it when you separate a nice piece of hash on the table. Do a couple rips, then stare at it like it's a piece of dirt and wipe it off the table onto the floor?
Then 5 seconds later you're like, DOH!

Hey, I used to be "one of those." I thought I knew weed until I discovered a whole new realm of growing. Then I really started learning! Used to be you bought it, you smoked it. Some was better than others, some highs were different from others, but I never knew why until many years later. Now I love learning everything I can and educating other folks about it. Simple ignorance...amazing what I was missing all those years. I'm very certain there are many out there who are like I used to be. And I'm very glad to have found answers to my then unasked questions.

I am puzzled as to why some of ya'll are hesitant to bestow your wisdom upon various people. If you are smoking with them, then they obviously know you smoke (duh), so why not teach them a few things? It never hurts to appear wise and intelligent.
If I am smoking with a new friend and they start going on and on about something dumb, I would certainly correct them if I knew how to do so. If someone was talking about getting super fucked up by drinking the bong water, there is no way I would let them. I would try to teach them a few things, nothing wrong with spreading a little wisdom. Besides, you just saved the fool a mouthful of horrible water.

After all, if all you do is bitch about how stupid they are, and then never smoke with them again, they are just gonna "show off" in front of others and continue to be stupid. Teach them a thing or two, and maybe they will spread the info along, hopefully weeding out most of the stupidity.

Tarkus - It's because I don't want to give them to much info or else they will suspect even though they always tell me I should grow which is another no no.

People around me don't even know what sativa and indica are, they just want to get messed up any way possible.

I don't mind cutting everyone out of my life, especially those people that just want to get messed up, its sickening, I'm glad the only person in my life is my girlfriend and even though she doesn't like weed she is still there to listen to all the info I spew out at her.

It's not wanting to share, it's just the lack of the right people to share too.

Yeah, I can understand this. But still. Just let them know that you are not an imbecile and you would prefer to know as much as you can about the stuff you put in your body. I believe if you go about it correctly, they would assume you are a very wise person and not just a grower. You might be dealing with total asshole retards though, so don't be stupid.

Tarkus, i think you underestimate the ignorance of a lot of smokers and their ability to only think about themselves. i love your positivity as i try to be the same but around these parts, you have to be really careful always having the dank because people start asking too many questions. bestowing our knowledge on top of that raises suspicion and if you arent hookin them up, people can get resentful. the only time i ever spread my knowledge is if someone has gained my complete trust and proved that they will use the info with good intentions.
