These days, I've found that I can't even stand the company of your everyday pot smoker. Maybe I'm just an intolerant bastard and am alone on this..but here's why:




They believe that the more red hairs, the better the weed.

That Purple weed is better.

and that the purple weed they are smoking is purple haze.

They believe every absurd strain name that thier dealers make up for them - eg "sour superblaster dankfruit", when in reality they are smoking nameless generic commercial street bud.

They believe all good weed is "Hydro"..

...and that to grow good weed you have to use hydroponics (Infact, I've encountered a couple of people who have never grown before insist on buying a hydroponic and even aeroponic setup, when they cant even germinate seeds right, just because they want to "grow some dank").

That all think weed related to mexico is bad, when in reality, its just what gets crudely imported that sucks.

The stinkier the weed, the more potent it is.

That larger stem filled buds are magically better.

that "slangin" and dealing are the coolest thing since post-it notes.



I could go on, but I'll save you the rant! I just had to get that off my chest. Feel free to add more, or hit back, lol. Good day.

I smoke erb daily,3 to 5 times a day.Red pistils seem to be important to Bogladites,The fewer the pistils the better IMO.Replace those tons of pistils with the tiny green sugar leaves of blockhead and you're talking my language.If I finish my blockhead at 85 degrees F with 1500PPM co2 the flowers are green and sugary,if I go the last 3 weeks or so with 65-70 daytime temps,the flowers are mostly purple and sugary,the quality remains the same.I've given my cousin an experienced hydro grower a cut of my blockhead pheno to flower under his 1K vertizontals,his was not quite as good as mine grown in ocean forest.The terpines responsible for odor contain no THC but have everything to do with odor and taste so it is important.Only dopefiends like me grow for potency only,many others grow for taste and smell

People who can, do. People who cant simply copy those who can and brag lots so they feel validated. Stoners are getting younger and younger and obviously immaturity and peer pressure start to play a part. I think that's why they try to make out they know more than they do, just plain old pride.

You can always find those people out by asking for their advice and then asking how they experienced it and what they did to resolve it. Most have not grown a plant in their lives and will start stammering at this point.

Feeling validated on a website fulla people you'll never know is a pretty sad way to go lol,especially when this can be made real with a little ambition,the info is all here,repeated over and over again.You do need a location and startup money,but I could have done this mechanically speaking when I was 14.Unfortunately my big mouth wouldv'e put an end to it with the quickness lol.I wouldn't want to have done what I've done even if I were in my 20's,or if I still drank and ran around lol.

I freely admit i did it. I told a few fibs to get myself in with my peers of the time and once respected i used their grows and knowledge to educate myself and stop being a wannabee. There was no way i would have made it on my own so i leeched off others, bear in mind OG and ICMAG weren't here 20 years ago. The difference is that once i had what i needed i then passed that knowledge on to others so that they may free themselves from the not knowing. It's a wheel of knowledge and it's only fair you put back more than you pull out so others can benefit too

That said i must admit that i only smoke with a select few now who i know have a proven record. It gets very tedious listening to things you know are not based on experience or fact and i really dont want to waste a nice stone listening to it and young'uns of today just dont want to learn. It's all kilos and beatings for them now and i want none of that. If it's not on a plate they want to steal it!

But yeah, I'm not even talking about growers, or people on websites even (well, unless you count grasscity), I just mean in general day to day life. People who are usually strictly smokers only, but hold very little fact about anything behind the plant other than the prevelant random sourceless "knowledge" that is all too common. I had some girl tell me my weed "must not be very good" because it smelled fruity instead of the stereotypical dead skunk reek. Some guy told me "indica means it gets you high, and sativa means its used to make clothes". I gave up arguing on that one real quick. That kinda thing. Blarrghhh

i think it might be more common amongs younger smokers. i'm only in my low 20's

Yea having knowledge about what exactly you're doing makes me feel really snobby at times when around people that just do it at parties and do it to get messed up...yea the young folk....unfortunately I am one of them, just glad I don't think like them.

Now I know the type of person you're ranting about. they're the same as those nitwits who don't know how to smoke a cigar. those who guzzle wine or beer without considering the flavors and vintages. The people who eat the menu and throw away the food!
Yes, these people can be extremely aggravating. However, those who take the time and effort to learn about the pleasures in which they indulge could try to enlighten the blind consumer. Sure it's tough and may not mean a flit but I've found many like minds lurking behind ignorance over the 30 years of toking I've enjoyed. Ignorance can be overcome through accepting knowledge.
If they're belligerent well then...walk on Brother.

Nope you haven't missed a thing!

I think the only time you can actually enjoy other people's company is when they cherish the plant as much as you.

The worst is when someone wants to smoke with you but then starts flipping out about location and how they have a test later that week...
