Regardless of outcome, you just got to keep trying eh?!

I have grown the sinai indoors and outdoors (indoors for seeds), results were great. Dont get discouraged with these seeds, they take some learning. I have a thread in this forum showing the Sinai, malana and Nanda devi, if you wanted to see my experience. Good luck! I have Lebanese and Chitrali lined up for summer ourdoors.

hi - just to explain:

the friend I pay to take care of the site kept using old Kumaoni stock as freebies, so I'm sorry if those Kumaonis didn't sprout

however the freebies Kumaonis now being given out are fresh Nov 2015 harvest seeds. I will make a point of giving out fresh stock as freebies. Old stock goes to Feed the Birds

I'm surprised people were interested in the Ukhrul --- I tried to make it clear that the Manipuri is a superior strain

however, I have had one grower in Spain say he found a, quote, 'very very strong' plant in the Ukhrul

while the manipuri lowlands were a smaller size strain backwards to how there advertised,

hi - check the facebook page, pretty sure I posted pictures of 1m pheno Manipuris; there are creepers too

just a handful of seeds will never be enough to see the full spectrum of the genetics...

smaller plants were much more prevalent in the big fields of Ukhrul I saw; Manipuris were 3/4 of them over 3m to 4m tall in the village gardens

both strains finish by early January - so @ the other grower, if you are flowering to 20 weeks then your grow environment is causing them to freak out (as with the Kumaoni stressing out)

really all these plants should be outdoors - that is what they are advertised for

ngakpa,

When you say freak out, do you mean this in the positive or negative way?
You can always give less hours of light to shorten the flowering

hi ngakpa,,,, i meant no offence with my comments only it was strange that my plants were backward to how advertised it was no problem nor was it meant to suggest you misrepresented the plants only a curiosity, as i fully understand the limited genetics in each pack ,,i dont have facebook so have not seen the info only whats on your site ,,,the manipuri lowlands are intersting plants very dark green with an almost blue hue, resinous remind me a little of some thais ive seen like a mini version with a sour kinda aroma,,one male is distinckly mango all are tuff and vigourous they all look alike in the way of the same strain ,,for sure requires futher investigation for me ,,the ukrul lanky pheno is very good quality and stronger than the 3 manipuris i tried,,all were flowerd under 11/13 with the manipuris being around a month faster than the ukrul ,,the ukrul needs a good few weeks before it showed sighns of resin but a microscope showed plenty coming ,, sweet flavour long lasting trippy effect ,,so lots of potential ,,this is just off a few that wernt grown that well an were seeded another round of each is showing improvements allround,,,hopefully well see,,thanks for the xtra info on these strains

I get that these are for od /gh. But this far up north it is not doable. So random seeds indoors it is. Lebanese and sinai should do ok in. Keep up the important work. Kumaoni was promising

Did you smoke the ukhrul? I'm curious about this strain. I can't decide between it and manipuri.

ukhrul was very mild, but i did get it to stress a lot. buds kept on growing, mature parts degraded almost instantly. but as with indian strains often you would be best to grow large batch and keep only few good ones. at least all keralas i´ve done and these are like feral cannabis, not like pure bred drug cultivars you´d except from india. what the fuck is wrong with those folks there, they´ve been at it for centuries and this is what they are at. so manipuri is what i would do, it seems more domesticated, which is good

Great info you guys, I just picked up some of these seeds and are wondering if any of you seen any intersex individuals and if so what percentage. Maybe Ngapka can chime in.

Super stoked to run these, thanks

Hi Jay Sus,

just to be in theme.. 3 Kumaoni seeds from RSC ..

yesterday in the afternoon palced in tap water @28° C ..

actually here the air temp 32° C.. less than 24h and they germinate after 5 months in the fridge @ 6°C

very vital seeds :woohoo:

I'll let you know

I'm very sorry about the poor quality of the pics but seeds still were underwater plus my old wooden floor was very unstable..

green vibes

There's reports of Ukhrul being less desirable than Manipuri, while some growers report in this thread mention their Ukhrul was outstanding and strong! From a yield and growing perspective, so far, Ukhrul does seem superior, but it's hard to say anything about quality until the flowers are sampled.

From 6 Ukhrul seedlings, 3 turned out to be female, zero observable intersex traits so far! Of the 3 females, 1 is a runt, another is a medium sized beauty that is the earlier pheno, and the other is an unexpected gigantic, massive yielding tree that is the later pheno! Holy crap, the tree pheno was really shocking, it just kept growing and growing and growing! It has massive arms lined with buds, very difficult to photograph because it's 4 meters tall and many of the side branches are about a meter long!

Anyways, smell-wise, the tree pheno smells spot on like manipuri, pretty much indistinguishable! The medium sized beauty plant almost smells like manipuri, but not quite, and it has faint red pistils!

Here's Ukhrul, the medium sized beauty pheno. Love this look! I'm guessing mid December as the finishing date, but who knows:

she's quite resinous, and the aroma is heavenly:

Tree pheno:this plant appears to have denser buds than the earlier pheno. These were started late in the season and were supposed to stay small! This pheno is taller and bigger than all of the himalayan strains I've tried thus far! It'll probably finish end of December/early January here. Interestingly, this plant hates low humidity: many of the "arms" exposed to full sun had burnt fan leaves right after we had a really dry and intense wind storm. Interestingly, the arms shaded by the surrounding shrubs are still in perfect condition. Pic of the tree pheno, I couldn't get a shot of the whole plant, too difficult:
