Hey Sub...I used 3/4 of a cup of squeezed lemon juice and 1tbsp of lemon zest plus eggs, butter and sugar. I had a bath and just looked at it and it is still has not set properly yet, I think it needs to cool more.

I've never made sour cream, I have made whipped dressing, similar to mayonnaise.

My state has open and concealed carry for everyone except felons and involuntary committal in the last 5 years. I recently had my permit renewed some I can carry in 31 other states. It does tend to make people more polite.

My momma made it too. She was Hungarian and made palacsinta (Hungarian crepes) and would mix the sour cream with a little sugar or jelly like your mom then roll it up in the palacsinta. She said she felt like a mother bird feeding worms to her young
