If you aren't stoned, you will be:

The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation.

The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't.

In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA.

However, the missile must also know where it was. The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is.

However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.

Good night.

In the UK they measure if you are fat/obese via the Body Mass Index (BMI) - and at 5ft 11 inches tall (used to be 6ft) - and weighing around 215lbs lately - makes me obese (according to the BMI) - but I have a 34inch waist and a 48 inch chest = a muscular body - with just 14% bodyfat - so this BMI measurement is not a good indicator of whether or not you are overweight/obese - because it doesn't allow for muscle mass - and the weight of that -

Nvidia shares took a 600 Billion dollar wipe-out yesterday (Monday) in the largest single one day valuation drop of any stock in US history. China announced the launch of a startup (Deepseek) that can provide AI for pennies as compared to Nvidia's multi dollars. Additionally, it requires a fraction of the energy of any US based AI to date. Turned most of the notions regarding AI energy utilization and AI outsourcing business costs on its head. From the look of the chart (I could easily be wrong) it does not appear that those shorting this stock in advance were in any rush to cover their positions. Tomorrow is another day but I would not be surprised if this did not turn out in total to be a Trillion dollar plus haircut.

As an aside it will be interesting now to see how the "January Effect" plays out, since as of yesterday the S&P 500 is below where it started the year. History shows that a losing January portends to losing stock market gains for the year.
