I thought he was just really really slow at picking apples... like me. (I didn't realise a bear had eaten them)
I'm slow at picking apples because that's my yearly "ah FFS do you really want me to do that?" job.
Takes me 2 days to do our tree because, well... fuck picking apples. I hate it.
Now you mention bears and picking apples with a gun, it sounds cool!
I want a job picking apples with my rightful bear arms and a machine gun.

Swedes sister lives next door in the farmhouse they all grew up in and they have at least a dozen apple trees and some cherry trees
no reason for anyone to go hungry around here , and then there is all the salmon , crabs , and clams everywhere
