You are probably right about the dudding. dookie got the viroid from shabud apparently and he then shut down. so ya maybe that pre98 had the viroid. the matt berger didnt dudd though and it grows just like the bubba i remember but taste wasnt really there.

No doubt , the Matt berger kinda looks likes the katsu if anything to me...I coulda grabbed it but passed.
I know a guy in BC with the real pre 98..well it looks on point to me I'm gonna try and grab in the spring....if I can grab it I'll shoot ya one.

like I said no offense or anything...just giving my opinion on kushes...been growing them almost exclusively for 17 years or so straight now on a decent scale..I learned a thing or two about them. Personally I wish I had my old Garberville pk cut which shit on bubba in every way imo....lost her in 2020 had it since 08

although growing is legal here in canada and some part of the states its not legal to ship. i still order my clones from the states and get them 9 times out of 10. Not pressuring you im just stating the facts. i would love to the the uk cheese. shes another intense bitch to smoke

i agree that kush are harder to grow. they dont like the heat but i grew lots of kush back in the day and taste was always on par.

no prob bud, no offence taken, you sure seem to know what your talking about. Im from canada too and have tried scallywags coffee pk, vancouver island pk and also death bubba from direwolf and i gotta say they are not real kush like the ones from around 08. Apparently scallywag and direwolf had the garberville and they let her go cause she wasnt as good as the vancouver island. also ozark nation sells the garberville as the holy grail but again shes not the kush we are used to/used to get. i think the one we are looking for is the las vegas pk and someone renamed it garberville cause all garberville i keep seeing are not the same. anyways hoping your guy has the real pre98 but so far canada has let me down many times with their so called kush/bubba

Verdant Green has been here @IC for many yrs , and even though we don`t see eye to eye on things concerning grow techniques , he most CERTAINLY has been working the Bubba Kush line for many yrs with collaborations from other well respected growers as well , so again , Please respect the name BEFORE you find out what he`s been up to since you`ve not been here but rather at RIU.....and hey.....

As has already been stated here, Kushes are a royal "pain in the ass" to consistently produce run in and run out due to being so picky about their nutrient requirements along with the proper environment needed for em to be all they can be by end of cycle cuz I assure all here I tried the original "clone only" pre 98 AND the "Katsu" cut back in the day and they wouldn`t veg for shit and wouldn`t produce anything but pitiful results per light BUT.....the end result was awesome as far as headstash goes for the coffee taste and narcotic results afterwards.....anyways.....

Hope I didn`t mess the thread up guys , just trying to let LS know that just cuz you`ve never heard of someone in your scope of breeders and growers should definitely let you realize that there`s more to dope growin than just your circle of knowledge that you`ve accumulated.....Respect guys and.....

I have to agree.

I always love finding out things I don't know. We should all always be open to hearing new information and taking it into account. There's a difference between a tall tale and someone with solid info to bring to the table. Country boy just informed not that long ago that there was a whole different 3Cs company than the one I knew of, and they were both pretty much doing the same thing at the same time. I looked into it more and sure the fuck enough he was right.

All that said, Verdants bubba s1 I feel has kind of been the known credible and quality standard for sourcing bubba kush s1's for YEARS now. Pick some of his up and you will find it's very true to type and what you are looking for.

The first time I heard somebody use the name bubba kush was directed toward of the best light green mids people have never seen. Years later I got it as in indoor. I also know that there was a bk x deep chunk, which was possibly the best blend of medicinal qualities in circulation at the time. I swear u might thing that I don’t know what I’m talking about, but, if you’ve been safe to operate for more than a decade then you most likely never touched the original bubba kush.

The strain was selected for indoor ventilation growing, but that’s not all there was. whatever happened to it when it left the #1 endo spot resulted in some misrepresentation.

I’m gonna go back to the diesel too cause it was the same thing with diesel having two varieties, except that was tall one and a short one. They were grown side by side. If you ever got the real sour diesel, you saw both. They were the exactly the same puffage, one didn’t stretch as much. now I can’t give you an origin story, or speculate on what really happened to that diesel. Also can’t give you the origin story of bubba kush, I can confidently verify whether or not someone has the real sour d or bubba kush.

If I wasn’t a complete paranoid worthless dumb shit I would have bubba kush for you guys to know what I mean. But, I am. Sorry guys I got one of the ones in the bunch. I have is like a 1/2oz left and I havn‘t found a single seed.

Years later, I still keep the cut from the first S1 seed I popped from you @VerdantGreen, the mocha coffee berry liquor smell is to die for, topped with great high, I love it.

Liqa, one of mine was like coffee mocha and Jim Beam. It tore me up something so fierce I couldnt handle it. Felt like I was about to get the spins and hurl. I got a few cracked that were made with my Sour OG f3 males. High hopes for those. I started with the fat Purple S1 pheno, smelled like hot trash in bloom but developed into the mocha coffee beam upon drying.

They grow and look eerily similar
