I waited in "catch-up" silence regarding the strange weiner dog behavior quote.

I happen to know that daschunds are MANY times more likely to bite their owners (or anyfukkinbody else) than any other breed on earth.

They are basically untrainable in that area.

Short "Don't fuk with Unca" story:

I was walking along on a sidewalk wearing shorts. A daschhund came running up behind me and bit me on the calf of my left leg. The first inkling I had there was a dog around is when he bit me.

I turned, and punted the little piece of shit. Got him so perfectly, he went completely across the street to the sidewalk on the other side. Dead on arrival.
I gotta stand up for the wiener dog here even tho, they are not my favorite dog, I know folks that have them and depend on their emotional support and most of those dogs are spoiled lapdogs but in some cases, just what is needed.
not every dog is the right dog and I’m glad there are folks who love them and think they are the best dogs ever. Here’s to the wiener dogs 😊

Yet another wetly day, starting at 42F and predicted to reach 49F.

I finished my CAD work but have been unable to print it out so as to have it made, so waiting for help from my webmaster. I have it set up so that I'm running the CAD on my laptop, but using my desktop monitor and keyboard. I could print using the computer that recently died, but not with the new one yet.

Good morning friends 🥰✌️
For a breed bred to take on Badgers, they do amazing well with people and other animals. Our neighbor had one named Snoopy that had a route that he maintained at dinner time and we were on that list. He would come to the patio door next to the dining table and do a glad faced act.

We got a cat and the first time Snoopy laid eyes on it he went for it and I yelled at him and had to several more times to no avail, but then the cat got hit by a car and died after which Snoopy resumed his gladfaced route.

We got another kitten and the first time Snoopy laid eyes on it he suddenly got all tense and started looking back and forth between me and the kitten while wagging his tail and trying to figure out what to do. Meanwhile the kitten attacks his wagging tail.

Long story short, Snoopy and the kitty made close friends and the next day I see them play fighting where Snoopy has the kitten by the throat play nibbling and the kitten was digging his rear paws into Snoopy's belly with his claws retracted.

Morning folks. Crazy weather. Was 59 when I went to bed. Woke up at four and it was 72, with a straight line thunderstorm pushing through. Rains almost gone now. Cooling down today.
Got two big pots on the stove. Making another batch of venison veggie soup today. I put greens in my soup. Headed to the grocery store later for fresh produce. Two venison necks and some vertebrae sections stewing now. The spine gets removed prior to cooking, although it would likely be safe since no Cronic Wasting disease has been seen in Georgia yet. The neck and spinal section are very tender and doesn’t get dry.

We had a neighbor across the street when we lived in NJ who owned 3 labs. Never walked them.

When she had to take them to the vet it was like a comedy routine trying to get them 25' from the front door to the car. The yellow one drug her around the yard a few times. I wish I had video.

She would always remark to my wife about what a gentleman our PB was on a leash.

Another neighbor had a lab who that came out of nowhere and attacked my first PB when I was walking him. That lab was so lucky he was a super docile dog and didn't retaliate.

I know more people that should not own dogs than I do people who should.
My pit, she was five weeks old when I put a leash and collar on her. She started bucking and didn’t stop for two weeks. I would drag her by the collar. I figured she get tired of being drug across the yard she’ll start walking. She didn’t need a leash later. She was fiercely loyal to me. In the end that’s what got her. Just like war veterans and society. We want them when we need them. But after the fact there’s no place for such killers.
I for one think if you saw combat duty, should be tax exempt the rest of your life. We should put those boys on a silver platter for what they did. Come home all fucked up in the head and society shits down their throats.

Morning folks! Supposedly the rain is gone for a while but the long-term forecast indicates I might have a fire this year. All I have to do today is trim and inoculate...and make coffee.

peace

Yes $500 was a bargain for a registered pup,I stopped because I was worried about the owners not giving the pups a proper home . Shepherds are labeled as dysplastic but they are the breed that gets tested the most. I never had bone issues,(the one I have now is really big so I hope I don't have any with him). My dogs all stay outside 99% of the time. People having them in the house too much is bad for them,it makes their immune system weak and they become generally weaker and it's bad for the coat, they need that tough environment.
toe-nails-I like to walk run the shepherds on asphalt/concrete cause it toughens their feet and wears down their nails Kashmir rarely needs his cut. The last time Becca's were done, we combined it with her dental work while she was sedated.
