We taught our dogs to 'heel', makes me upset to see dogs hauling their owners around.
It's so easy to accomplish.

Start early. Be consistent.

I always used a lead to maintain control until they respected my authority as pack leader.

Hand signals are also easy to implement in conjunction with voice commands.

Never NOT enforce your command, i.e., don't teach them they don't have to 'obey'.

If you aren't the 'pack leader' the dog WILL be.

And in the news today - we have a Great Dane - on a plane - Have you ever taken a dog or any pet onto an aircraft? - if so - let's hear the story -

- I once shipped Zack - a 60kg Rottie from Puerto Princessa to Manila by plane - but he had to travel in a secure box - in the cargo hold (pressurised) - they wouldn't let him into the cabin with me and the other passengers - even if I bought a seat for him -

earlier it was mentioned about leaving loaded guns out...living by myself and where I do there must be 8 loaded firearms in strategic locations stashed along with back up mags...shit's getting crazy out there and I don't care to be a statistic...I hear too many rumblings about the government wanting our defense weapons...past and new incoming administrations...they're all whores drinking from the same trough...
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
There It Is. If I ask my WitchWife at any time in any place in the house: "Where is the nearest loaded gun?" She will point to a place. Then I ask, "Where is the next closest one?"

Several times she has surprised herself by remembering other nearby pew-pews. Always two in the car.

NFW is this ancient wreck gonna give up my weapons of any kind.

I shot a Bear glass recurve growing up and watched Kyudo while in Japan, but never tried it. I was looking for something that exercised the major muscles in my body and burned off energy, which fencing and martial arts certainly did.

Being an engineer, of course I have a crossbow with a scope..............................
Being an ancient engineer with a Terminator shoulder (no more archery), I have a crossbow with a scope... and a laser -- so you can fire from the hip if you like.

Good Morning All (OF's):

Wishing each and every one of you, a pleasant morning, wonderful day, and outstanding evening.
I am currently pretty tied up with projects and work, so wanted to start with a daily check in hello.
Today is duly considered a "hump day". So, I hope and trust all of us will get over any big humps!

See you all tomorrow (again)! (y):)

Yup. Agreed. Not a one of em gives a damn about me. And, frankly. I would like them to forget about me as much as possible. No news is good news. I keep my 2nd amendment gear pretty stashed but know where to find it. All good.:ninja:

shortly thereafter airlines quit shipping dogs so ground shipping is now commonplace….

I would first need to sample those beautiful buds before I could actually say I was jealous of Mr Putes fine buds. 😊

‘and I’m thinking GW would know at least as much as any of us about a musical instrument that runs on air supplied by bellows. He’s prolly got a paper he wrote on using an old accordion bellows system for one of his cannabis extraction experiments.

good night old man ✌️
Especially if powered by hot air! We actually used a steam calliope in those experiments, which we might consider using in our band instead of a squeeze box.

Dry and cloudy today starting at 44F and predicted to reach 55F.

Gym first thing this morning and then Miss Layla and I will be headed for Fernhill dog park to let our cleaning ladies spiff everything up again, while Grayfox is off grocery shopping.
