all is well in the pen...Bosco was pissed at Ivan for eating one of the triplets and took it out on my...should have known when I saw this hackles standing up...the bat sits idle for now...the hogs really don't like Ivan...he's gotten great about backing off, laying down, and leaving if he's told to...yeah, the cutters on Bosco are long and sharp, never seen them until he showed me his wide open mouth in anger...I have more respect for him now...they all like their backs noses scratched but you gotta be careful, they will nibble on a stray finger...

Im partial to pork ,more so my fingers.

They are surprisingly good guard dogs, especially indoors, but both indoors and out. My only issue in getting another pet is that we are considering plans future wise to take extended vacations during the colder months. So, not sure about that. I would not want to trust penning, and believe my ever dwindling (think old age) friend group wouldn't want to do so.

Speaking of "bulls" Boo, what happened or was the outcome of your dominant male porky pig, whose given name eludes me now? I was hopeful that you applied the axe handle to him, or some other humane means, before he first got you again. Having done extensive hiking in our Aloha islands, I have encountered singular bulls, and mother pigs with kids, that have been native there now for over a thousand years. They are worrisome to encounter, but more so if you ever were injured and unable to get yourself out of the rain forest. Like being dinner. Always per protocol hiked with a partner for this very reason. and very rarely traveled mauka into the forest alone unless there was a real "need", and then was uber cautious getting in and out in A.M. Was both lucky and younger.then. Never would go mauka alone now.

I'm sure @dawgster has some interesting 'hog' stories if he would care to share?

I may have spent some time attempting to purge and eat every hog in the tampa bay area.........not many guys can say they have killed multiple hogs with a surveyors range rod.

Free meat running around everywhere and big fun for the right dogs.
Not a gentle or clean past time but sometimes I miss doing it.
Way too soft now maybe from a golfcart or helicopter full auto like Texas does them,that looks like big fun.

Back to this thing about GW and polka music, I wonder if that's what the rumors were, there was talk of shutting down Octoberfest because the original polka king retired and their up and coming accordion player was under performing. He was suppose to come from Oregon.

Not that I would feel good know GW was not up to snuff on his accordion but I might smile thinking about it.

I would first need to sample those beautiful buds before I could actually say I was jealous of Mr Putes fine buds.

‘and I’m thinking GW would know at least as much as any of us about a musical instrument that runs on air supplied by bellows. He’s prolly got a paper he wrote on using an old accordion bellows system for one of his cannabis extraction experiments.

We just went to several furniture stores last week looking for a ladder shelf. The are all empty now. Giant stores with only one or two customers in them and two or three salespeople some offering extreme discounts. I would have thought they would be selling a lot of lounge chairs. Good time to shop there no crowds. Don’t expect no crowds when you go to lunch tho

Yup, ghost towns….in the places we went. Good idea on what we want. Taking our time.
