Yes
We are celebrating Christmas Eve also.
The family gathers on the evenings of the 24th, 25th, and 26th for dinner, with gift-giving taking place on the 24th.

Hahaha nah lots of root vegetables and some other questionable "delicacies".

It's a lot of peasanty food and quite basic. Some stinky pickled fish on rye bread, Swede casserole and blood pancakes are a few she does... and a really nice rice and carrot bake.

They don't go as far as the Swedish with that fermented fish on a cracker but I've seen similar at a few of the big gatherings they've had.

The finish pasties and sweet stuff she makes are amazing though!

The other day I bought some marinated steak from the super market, it’s all cut up here mostly.

Opened the pack and poured it in the frying pan and it looked weird.

Turns out it was marinated beef intestine

I did eat it and it was pretty good.

They call it horomone here there’s a restaurant down the road next door to the horse meat place actually.
