Meh. Ya shoulda married a Scottish witch. I never saw any interlopers in 66 years around the Sneakydicker househole, but I did find a couple of husks and some scorched denim...German Shepherds are working dogs and take their jobs seriously, which includes being mouthy at interlopers on the verge of treading on hallowed ground, and actually biting them if they persist. Besides being loving and loyal to us pack members, in the 45 years that I've been living with one, no one has ever burglarized our house either.
One of the best things about them besides their natural traits, is they are highly intelligent and super easy to train. Smart enough that you need to train them and keep them busy or they will find a way to stay busy and to train you.
Have you checked out the training books by the Monks of New Skete? They made the study of canines and why they do the things they do as part of their religious doctrine and raise German Shepherds for special applications, as well as train other peoples dogs.
A dog has an owner. A cat has a staff.
Curious: How many of these companies were involved with 'staking'?Staking cryptocurrency is the process of locking up your digital assets in a specific wallet to support the operations of a blockchain network, particularly those that use a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism.
In return for staking, participants earn rewards in the form of additional cryptocurrency, similar to earning interest on a bank deposit.
and another…
Like a lot of things in crypto, staking can be a complicated idea or a simple one depending on how many levels of understanding you want to unlock. For a lot of crypto users, knowing that staking is a way of earning rewards while holding onto certain cryptocurrencies is the key takeaway.
But even if you’re just looking to earn some staking rewards, it’s useful to understand at least a little bit about how and why it works the way it does.
How does staking work?
If a cryptocurrency you own allows staking — current options include Ethereum, Tezos, Cosmos, Solana, Cardano and others — you can “stake” some of your holdings and earn a reward over time.
The reason your crypto earns rewards while staked is because the blockchain puts it to work.
Cryptocurrencies that allow staking use a “consensus mechanism” called Proof of Stake, which is the way they ensure that all transactions are verified and secured without a bank or payment processor in the middle.
Your crypto, if you choose to stake it, becomes part of that process.

That's all you need in a 'guardian'. And the food bill is cheaper. Let's not get into GSD poop...@bigsur51 Speaking of dogs. Little bit (bitch) she comes to both. She has finally been house broke. She just wanted to go where she wanted, like the front yard outside the fence. (her spot) She has gained a few pounds too. A guard dog too as she tries to bite at people's ankles and barks at the smallest noise.
Windy but nice day expected 70f with a south wind 10-15 mph with 30mph gust
Need to get motivated and make more splinters for the RMH. Liking my bluetooth noise canceling headphones when splitting the wood. Listening to reddit sifi story called the Black Ship. Found on utube. Loyalty is its own reward....
coffee with B12 for extra motivation.
Our front door mat says, "Don't bother knocking, we know you're here", and has a picture of a German Shepherd.
