I don't use the Ford 120V charger that came with the car, I use aftermarket 240V chargers.

My new one just arrived but the first worked well for four or five years and then develop issues. The second did the same. The problem starts with them not coming on when I plug the car in, requiring that I power it down for 20 seconds to reset them.

The batteries still take a full charge at that point but eventually it started turning them off at about half charge.

The first one has a ground fault alarm, which was beeping when it gets turned off, but the second didn't have a ground fault alarm and I'm guessing the issue is the same.

Now here is the latest puzzlement. My new charger just arrived, and the old one started working again, even though I have yet to open the box on the new one. I seemingly just had to threaten it.............

First getting into the trades and only used alum for services
Pigtailed a lot as little as 5 years ago cutting boxes above receptacle's for copper spliced back down int a new recpt.
We used to pigtail now special crimps or little small connectors ( little screw in)
The last house I did was a house on a slab all aluminum and a attic.
With the multi tool we wired the house completely in copper.
Big feeders are a lot of times aluminum with no trouble.

We got called out on a apartment complex with reports of smoking appliances, exploding lights. Fridges and countertop appliances mostly. Turned out many of the aluminum mains were unscrewing the neutral lug and going 240 V on the wall plugs. Spent 2 weeks doing copper terminations on all the main feeders to each sub panel. I Hate aluminum with a passion.
I just got the call I was expecting from my hospital. I have to be in there tomorrow at 7 o’clock and they say should take about five hours before they let me out… I’m having stents put in both of my femoral arteries because I have very poor blood flow to my feet. My mother left me all of her genetics and rotten medical issues when she passed.

Fingers crossed you don't have any "Complications" as they called my event.
Good luck Boo. Stint is a simple procedure now days. Just think we will both be under the knife tomorrow. I will race ya....
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm...
YIKES!! I never knew. And now I think I found a real danger out there.

My previous "knowledge" of gummies has all been here. I have read things like: "no effect" and "ate another".

So what we have for the iggerunt folk (of whom I exactly represent) is that there are gummies and there are 👾GUMMIES out there.

Legal state gummies bought from state licensed dispensaries will be predictable in most cases but sticking to one maker will give the same expected high.

Still banned states selling gas station Hemp farm bill products containing Delta-8-THC, THCV HHC or anything other than Delta-9-THC is much more a crap shoot. I've not sampled any of it, so you'd be a stranger in a strange land with that stuff.

Best off making your own from known plant material IMO. None of what you buy will be lecithin enhanced and will quickly build tolerance requiring ever larger doses.

Morning :coffee:

Another 30min job turned into a 2 day ordeal. Was asked to build a little 3'x5' sheet metal shed. She said the listing read it would only take 30min to build..... You would think a retired teacher would read the full instructions. It plainly said 3 to 5 hrs. and 2 to 3 people need to construct it. After 4 1/2 hrs of screwing. It was built, with help of my brother.

Now that it's built, there is dirt work and wood work to be done. It's being use as a temp well house. That will take all morning in the cold. Temp @21f atm. Going to need to pre heat the tractor just to get it started.

That's the first thing I get to do. Once that's done. I get to go get a jeep to install another fuel pump. This makes number 3. Just can't get quality parts anymore.

I'm not complaining.... What else do I have to do to occupy my time lol. It's too cold to go fishing.

That was true even in the mid 70s. I must have installed 4 new fuel pumps on my 36hp 23 window VW micro buss before I found a dusty box AC Delco one in a tiny parts store way off the beaten path. Bunch of shit Brazilian castings.

Good morning folks
cold ,winter dainties advised
Hello my good man, it is a decent morning, other than an obnoxious prop airplane flying low this morning and waking me up after a restless nights sleep.

I really feel like I missing out on this Santa thing, I just can't escape the the thought of it. I bet you put on an Oscar winning performance.

The whole idea just gets my Christmas spirit all amped up. No electrical pun intended.

The procedure is done and I’m just sitting here stuffing my face with blueberry muffins and a cuppa coffee waiting for my ride my balls ache, but that goes with the territory. I haven’t really looked down there to see what kind of bruising or damages the time but I’m sure I’ll have plenty of time to check that out when I get home. I might spend the day of potting. Some of my babies. Things are getting a little crowded…. Thanks for all the kind words. They must’ve helped because this operation was a breeze. They woke me up when I was back in my room to tell me the surgery was over and I wasn’t even aware I had it…

I got a wonder just what it was done while I was unconscious cause my left nut is killing me. I’m thinking somebody took out a ping-pong racket and started slapping it around….🤣

Blue balls (getting any?) or you're in for a hip replacement like me. I can hardly walk without pain. Got back problems too, screws and rods in the lower lumbar.

For you growers. Tio rants again if interested. FWIW am really impressed with a well controllled Ace GT X Panama. Got a new Mandala package yesterday, Will open it now.

Congratulations and welcome back brother Boo! Are you sure they didn't throw in a vasectomy?

Had one about 35 years ago, so here I am straddled on a semi upright bench, legs wide open, feet in stirrups, doc is doing his thing and says, "this is my second one. Shouldn't take too long now". :)

Me - "well isn't that special".

3 wives,, am now a widow, never had any kids.

Thanks! My power install isn't an issue. I did install a separate panel for the EV and there have been no heat events.
If you watch the whole video they show sub panel install by electrician and that passed inspection, that melted under normal use.

The problem is related to the duty cycles of anything on that circuit. Residential breakers and load centers are not designed for the stress of EV charging.

Personally I'd pull the breaker on that circuit and inspect it.
