Morning folks! Bright sunny day, if a bit chilly. Woke up to an aching back and I'm just tired. Need to run some errands and go by the compactor, then I think I'll take the day off.

peace

Good to have them check the BMS but I suspect the problems lies with the Ford charger.

I've seen where the charge port on Ford EV's takes a crap and needs to be replaced.

I don't use the Ford 120V charger that came with the car, I use aftermarket 240V chargers.

My new one just arrived but the first worked well for four or five years and then develop issues. The second did the same. The problem starts with them not coming on when I plug the car in, requiring that I power it down for 20 seconds to reset them.

The batteries still take a full charge at that point but eventually it started turning them off at about half charge.

The first one has a ground fault alarm, which was beeping when it gets turned off, but the second didn't have a ground fault alarm and I'm guessing the issue is the same.

Now here is the latest puzzlement. My new charger just arrived, and the old one started working again, even though I have yet to open the box on the new one. I seemingly just had to threaten it.............
