And talk of poems and prayers and promises
And things that we believe in
How sweet it is to love someone
How right it is to care
How long it's been since yesterday
What about tomorrow?
And what about our dreams
And all the memories we share?
The days they pass so quickly now, nights are seldom long
And time around me whispers when it's cold
Changes somehow frighten me, still I have to smile
It turns me on to think of growing old
For though my life's been good to me
There's still so much to do
So many things my mind has never known
I'd like to raise a family, I'd like to sail away
And dance across the mountains on the moon
I have to say it now, it's been a good life all in all

Good morning and happy Thanksgiving ya'll!

A partly cloudy day starting at 34F and predicted to soar to 46F.

We traditionally have the family over for Thanksgiving dinner but alas this year everyone has other plans so we will be having pork chops with dressing tonight with just us and the girls.

We already celebrated turkey day at Huber's restaurant on the 23rd.

As the standalone flat-out guaranteed oldest geezer here, I must pass on my hard-learned knowledge:

1. Never confuse the Vicks Vap-o-Rub with the Vaseline jars.

2. Don't walk into a restaurant with a gorilla suit on.

3. Don't run down the street singing, "Singing In The Rain" during a hurricane.

4. Thanksgiving is a day of giving thanks. Unless you are a turkey.

That about sums up everything from 13 months before WWII to today...

Hey Unca, Uncle here another old pHart. 75 and climbing. Old age is a bitch with everything failing, aching in the places I used to play. Hip replacement scheduled for Jan. 7. Hurts to walk.

Finishing up Ace Golden Tiger X Panama. Am very impressed with the controlled growth, very little stretch, big (double) colas, etc.

Just got in another LED light, HLG refurb, a 260Rspec. VERY impressed. Faves get full sun and LED's.

It's pizza and beer day. Did our Friendsgiving day Tuesday, was quite a feast. Smoked 2 turkey roasts and a ham. The Thermoworks Billows is amazing for my wood/lump charcoal Roughneck barrel smoker. I dialed in 265F and it held it precisely for 3 hours. Recoevery is super quick when you lift the lid to sop Now I have the convenience of a pellet grill but using a no shit wood smoker. Did pecan off the farm and apple wood.

AHA! Herself is up and playing with turkey parts. What a good Witchie -- she normally is nonny-nonny to about 6:30.

There'll be kids coming who are at an age now where they are beginning to understand embarrassment. This is my time to shine.

Got back to marching around today - (walking fast) - up the river to the gym - and had a lovely power shower - shave - and scrub-up - then ventured into the heated swimming pool - where I stretched in the kids pool - which was completely empty - except moi - then spent a good hour swimming and doing hydrotherapy (aqua exercises) - to get all my muscle groups worked and pumping blood around this old boy - and was rewarded with a calm and happy disposition - post gym - as I toodled off towards Sainsbury's supermarket - for a few items - then marched home - feel'in clean - and worked out - sunny day here - but a bit nippy -

Good morning everyone and happy Thanksgiving. I find so much to be thankful for as I bounce around in the kitchen getting things ready for my MIL to join us. Turkey is in the oven and Mr. sub is picking her up while I cook and we will both take her back since there is just the three of us again this year. We did just a couple days ago get together and I got to cook for and see and hug all our kids and grandkids. Three of them are over my head now even the 12 year old is 8” taller than me and I’m 5’6”.

I hope y’all have a sweet Thanksgiving and get a day of fellowship with friends and family with no drama this year. Don’t eat too much, you can always go back for more later and remember to save room for pie
