The son in law (neighbor) is a jerk of the highest order. What gets into peoples heads like that, I'll never understand.
I'm not much into socializing with my neighbors but I sure enjoy a conversation with them.
Hi OM. I agree there. Love nattering over the fence with the neighbours. Theyr'e mostly in the 80+ range round me here, old Norman is 92 and still gets for a walk in his pyjamas every day, still the happiest man alive.

Dog, we had the same with a dude over the road, came screaming at me in his underpants cause my dog and I were out playing and he was barking, he's a dog see. After his rant, he uttered the words "I wouldn't want anything untoward to happen to your dog" ... I now hold the world record for the most naughty words uttered in 1 breath that must have lasted at least 15 minutes.

I had to apologise to my neighbour John who is 85 and heard it all, he agreed with every word I called him and also called him an added "twat". 😁

Cheers dudes!

Ahhhh....the place finally perked up. Like a ghost town early this morning.

Beautiful out at the lake today. Not a bit of wind and almost 50f. Still lots of boats out today. They better get their boating fix in as the lake closes to boating on Nov 30th.

Speaking of Ice fishing....won't be long until the ice fishermen are on the lake. Not my cup of tea. I was telling Reynard the other day that I don't fish much anymore.....well I would If I could find another fly fishing buddy. All the ole ones are gone like a fart in the wind. I have a boat but I would rather walk a stream with a fly rod.

End of life.....what a subject. I have done my due diligence. All is taken care of. I just had my Living will updated not long ago and anything that has changed had been updated as well. Get an attorney.....if you don't your children, wife .....exc.....will fight over what you left behind. I have seen it destroy families. You owe it to them to make sure everything is in writing,

Now I have to figure out what to do with the rest of the day.
might I sugest get stoned?

About a week ago I dropped a tray of cannabis sprouts on the floor and did damage. There was 1 I really wanted, it had popped right out of the peat puck and needed to be replanted. It ended up surviving. Then 2 nights ago, I was hesitant on watering, thought I would leave it till morning. I also thought I should put a fan on. Yesterday morning, the one I was most interested in was dried up and the sprout looked withered and laying over on the puck. I thought for sure it was dead, I watered it anyhow, by last night after lights out it was standing up again but looking worse for wear. I wonder if it will recover properly or is it ruined. Time will tell.

Last fall I had a similar issue with a sprout and that plant grew up to be a hermi and the consensus from members was the hermi issue had nothing to do with it's rough start in life. We now might have a replay different strain but both getting off to a rough start. I will watch for a couple of days to make a decision on it's future.

I soaked 3 more seeds last night of Turkish Cookies and will plant them today. I don't mind loosing a bit of money on extra seeds as long as I can keep things moving along.
It was great when I use to make my own seeds, I could put 3 or 4 seeds in a 4" ctn and choose the nicest one. Now that's like putting $40-$80 in each ctn, that isn't going to happen.

You going to get any of that blizzard? Are you near a mountain range? We have the Appalachians west of us 100 miles. I walked the trail for 2 days as a teen with the youth forestry camp I had gotten sentenced to by a juvenile court judge. It runs from Maine to Georgia. I had stolen compact discs from Sears. I learned a lot, not just about forest survival but how to live life, how to be responsible for myself. A few years later I joined the US Coast Guard and then my teens were over in a few years.

Got a genny for the new off-island house a while back.
Since I'm not there all the time I figured the generator is a wise choice for when one of the frequent winter storms hits and power is out for a few days.
All I need now is for the electrician to show up and install it along with the transfer switch.
He was SOCM so we jive well but damn I wish he would show up and get the job done . The generator has been at the house for a month .

I have one and installed some
Can help you to do things you may not have a electrician do if you have some help.
You need to be away from a structure (house) 5 feet away and away from windows and vents
With the auto transfer switch I think its the best deal and if you can manage your load to a 8kw size your consumption goes down.
Plus you may need a lic plumber to install the gas and sign off and a permit from the town if you do it legal.
all depending on where you live
Get the automotive battery not the small engine battery its a small one
I know Ny standards

It's been raining since last night here but just in the valley bottom, lots of snow up the mountains. It's good DB to be able to look at our lives and move forward in a positive way. I like people for who they are not who they were. Never too late to make changes to ourselves. A couple of photos standing in my driveway.

Hey everyone. We went to an estate sale this morning instead of a bike ride. We were there forever as Mr sub had to touch all the dirty papers in search of a big find. He did find some stuff and I picked up this cool ashtray and shiny rocks. Still was better than a cold windy bike ride.

good morning peoples...brrr, were in the low 50's here today...
Fargin winter arrived on my birthday. The temp dropped 30+ degrees overnight.

Hey @Boo -- Lookit yer email -- There is a guy who has a shiny 1930 Model A Ford... thought you might like to look at the pics, or even be innerested.

Six pics and a video.

Gawd. 84 today. History tend to pick my birthday to really fuck things up. The day I was born was the day of the single most concentrated attack on a British city in all history: Coventry.

The Luftwaffe attack lasted an amazing 11 hours. It started over 600 fires, and coined of new term for obliteration: "Coventrated".

Then, of course, there's Dealey Plaza and the CIA.

On the plus side, The Flash and Green Lantern popped into existence on my birthday.

Today my friends , one year ago ,I sailed into the Icymag harbor ,sword in hand ,and a chicken cutlet parm hero from La Bistro in the other.
New land, needed a new name and some music to continue on my quest to find my friends.

Glad you found us. Yup, there was quite a migration to this forum from the mud hole. The people left in charge didn't expect that to happen......mass exodus from what they though. Puts a smile on my face when I think about it. We had this thread going on over there with the same amount of activity. Now it's here and the mud hole is pretty much a shadow of what it was.

It feels a lot like the election that just took place.......place is nothing more than a fart in the wind to me.
