Imagine getting shot with one of these. Just a few in my collection. Hard to imagine, thousands of years ago a man broke a point, and tossed it over his shoulder like the trash it was. And we find it one day and are thrilled to have it. Not all are broken.

I grew up a half mile from an old Choctaw village and within five miles of the old Cherokee Crossing. We collected lots of points and chips and when the Washita River changed course one year, pottery shards and bones.

I finally learned to make points myself here in Oregon using obsidian. A messy process that leaves little razor sharp divots of obsidian glass lying about to step on. I had to use a Moose leather pad to hold the points that I was working on because they were so sharp that they easily cut through a cowhide leather glove.

Planning to get a haircut today if I can get an appointment with the lady who cut it last time and did an excellent job last time.

I buy my socks two or three dozen at a time so they are all identical and no sorting required. When I find a hole in them, I tie a knot in them and throw them away.

When I find a hole in my skivvies, I do like Subbie and stick a finger in the hole and rip so that they don't get mixed with the good ones. Skivvies and tee shirts make good rags. Socks, not so much....

JEEEBUS. (great minds)

I have a sock drawer. One kind only. No sorting required... ever.
