I run my original Volcano at 6 on the dial and quit when it becomes harsh.

I then extract the spent shards (ABV) with ethanol and make a killer topical.

Hi GW, I have a quick question.

The 1st bag from my volcano, always has a bit of an ammonia/pissy background to it. I also run at around 6 on the dial.
Do you get that too? Every strain I do, It's not vile, just THAT kinda scent/taste is there for the 1st bag in the background.

I also get the same smell from fried mushrooms too, I used to love fried mushrooms but now they taste of pissy nappy ammonia to me. (not that I eat many pissy nappies these days). Might have been that covid I got last year.

Volcano coming today. Will be on sabbatical for two days

I've built a lot of rocket stoves and rocket mass heaters. All mostly from junk I scavenged. (They dumped all my pics at TCC but found some at Permies from my RMH thread there 10,000+ views) Running a RMH here to heat the house. Going to build another in the GH when I get the time. It works good enough to keep the power bill way down, with very little wood. (all electric house) Would like to upgrade the RMH in the house to a batchbox. Just haven't had time. They run longer between feeding the fire.

First one I built in NM. kept the shack we lived in nice and toasty burning only pallet wood. The pic is of the innards before the cob was put on.

This pic is what I built here as it was being built.

One day I will remove the fireplace behind the RMH and build a masionary heater.

I'm not sure which is best for which but as I understand it icing is only good for certain back pain problems where as a nice heating pad is best for others. Like for example, I think heat would be the answer for a pinched nerve as the heat might cause the area to relax and allow the nerve to become unpinched. On the other hand I think ice is more suited for muscle strain. I could be wrong though as I don't do either for my back pain as the pain meds I take do a good enough job for me. I just know that heat tends to make my body relax and ice tends to reduce swelling and numb soreness from over use which I derive from seeing athletes take a nice ice bath after spending the day doing what they do in their sport.

Mine tells me ice but I have 5 herniated lumbars, stenosis back and neck.
I can hear grinding in my head when I turn it.

I divorced family over the same issue.I haven't let my parents see the grandchildren in 2 years,they don't deserve it.

Using other vapes I do not get that 1st bag of piss like with the 'cano. It's a funny one for me.

I have a Thai cross in the jars burping at the moment and that is straight cat piss, that does taste a bit pissy in other vapes, but I don't get that piss in the volcano.

I may be programmed wrong.
I may have to turn myself off and on again, see if it helps.
