I remember that day very well. I had a little 912 Porsche that was bright red sitting out in the driveway and it was covered with snow. I paid $1650 for that car and had more fun than any car. I’ve had since then.

We finally got rid of the cow as we had so much milk product around more than we needed. After that, we got milk delivery they had chocolate milk I remember. Our cows never put out chocolate milk

We made ice cream or butter out of the surplus cream and fed the extra milk to our pigs.

We did too we also made cheese enough that we also fed that to the pigs too we had the cow for a couple of years she needed milking twice a day I guess it got to be more trouble than it was worth. We had milk duty every other week my brother and I. I would trade his milk duty for my chores now and then so he could sleep in before school. I was always up early and had a horse to take care of too so it was a good trade off. I was glad the cow was gone tho. We did alway have a bull too that we would fatten up for the freezer

71 Triumph GT6+. 2k and had to sell it for a van when my son was born. 2 years later in 79, I got an RX-7, just _before_ my daughter. Still have it in the basement, pretty sure when he retires, my son will rebuild it.

I used to have to walk to school in my bare feet in 2 foot of snow uphill both ways when I went to school…

You were lucky. We were too poor to afford feet so we had to walk on bloody stumps. My sons still doubt that part of the story since I have since bought feet.

Oh yeah - the best massages for me - are when I get my back walked on - it's quite popular in Thailand -

Best massage I ever had was from a 90 lb young woman it Taipei. She beat me like a red headed stepchild(trigger warning for you gingers out there). No happy ending just about every muscle in my body worked to a filet minion consistency. Every vertebrae popped one after another when she did the back walk thing.

When I was a kid, I used to see Jag XJS's going down 95 and always wanted one of those. So glad I didn't get one, learned from the GT6 that British sports cars are engineered to squeak... and break down.

BMW M6 was always my dream car, but I ain't never been that fucking rich.

My oldest brother is a mechanic and he worked on a SC Cobra 427. At least I got to _look_ at it! Fucker wouldn't let me within 10 ft of it.

I drove an L-88 Baldwin Motion performance vette years ago...that's a ride I'll never forget, just like my first Hemi ride in a '66 Belvedere...

Holy fucking moly, I'd be afraid to drive it, cuz I know I probably wreck it.. trying to go too fast.

Paid a grand over list price for the RX-7, after being on a wait list for almost a year, $6995. One of the first 5,000 that made it in the US, still in decent shape in the basement. I only got to the initial stages of doing a restore/rebuild, when I ran out of money, patience, and time.
