I know exactly where that original photo was taken, it was at the Thunderbird Motel in Sunny Isles Beach Florida. I could slam up another wall of words (because I'm very active in the "Sunny Isles The Way It Used To Be" FB group, so you can search my history there) but won't, search the group. But that is a _exceedingly_ well-known and respected blue collar motel restaurant... in a motel that has more fucking rock and roll history than you could ever imagine.

I did not work at the Thunderbird, I worked at the Beachcomber, which was a quarter mile away. But us pool boys talked about other things besides smuggling and getting laid. This is an absolutely true story that you will not read _anywhere_, except on that Sunny Isles FB group. That was a well-known, mafia friendly motel where a Wise guys from New York and New Jersey frequently stayed. A club called Thee Image was directly across the street and when Joe Cocker was playing there, he stayed at the Thunderbird. He went to the ice machine and an attractive Italian woman was there, so he started hitting on her. A well connected Wise guy took offense and laid Joe Cocker out with one punch. You can read that story in the Sunny Isles Facebook group, if you think I'm making this shit up. I've written frequently about that area on my website, five or six years ago.

Sometimes things aren't just coincidental, they're fucking synchronicitous.

My 2 cats that go outside love the fresh stuff. I had a couple plants going for a few years(must be perennial?) but last year they were laying on it everyday so the plants were toast by late June.

You are pretty close. But there is more data. It has to do not with normal folks, but for adults with constant pain present (different from broad/general population subjects): The melatonin helps getting them to a sleeping state over the "pain disturbance" hump. Then the other endorphins kick in to aid in allowing them to stay asleep.

On the flip side, Dr. Scooter warned me melatonin can be habit-forming. IIRC it can cause dizziness with some folks.

With me, it gives me vivid dreams <-- To me, a wonderful plus. I go to the movies each night. Recurring adventures... dunno if it is melatonin, weed, or my own imagination (which has always been active) or all three.

I do know that without weed... No sleep.

I'm right there with you with a no weed, no sleep. Last time I had to go straight, and it was quite literally decades ago, my dreams were so fucked up, I didn't want to go to sleep anyways.

Imagine every patient you've ever treated, who's died, and they're in a long fucking line, waiting to shake your hand, and you see them as they used to be, not how they were when the were hooked up on a fucking vent, and the fucking line is endless...

I'll take cannabis every time.

I don't go on Facebook! I have been in Facebook jail more times than I can count..... can't help myself.

I'm going to write a pretty long article about my adventure into social media land here pretty soon. I had _never_ been on Facebook, except to register on it so I could access IG and communicate with cannabis developers, except for one time.

One of my sons, who is very tech oriented told me about FB, long before it became popular. One of his sisters was on it as well. He was kind of showing me around, how to navigate, that sort of thing. I decided to check on my daughters FB pages and there was a post there, something to do about, "... well it's time to go home and while ride the wild stallion"

I never went on Facebook again.

Until this September... and I've been down the social media fucking rabbit hole ever since.

It's why I'm participating in this forum now, as a matter of fact.

Was never a fan of OG, went on a self-imposed internet hiatus from 2001-2012, so I'm totally ignorant of those names... except for the term Goat. The only time I've ever legally purchased cannabis was in Denver, six or seven years ago, and the big thing out there at that time I think was goat related, maybe Golden Goat?

Well - I wasn't doing many pipes of opium per day - I paced myself - because raw smoked opium is kinda heavy on the lungs - and I saw many Thai men who were seriously hooked on the 'O' - and were doing 15 or more pipes per day of that thick black tar-like heavy ineibriate as opium is - and they were opium junkies to the point of it being kinda sad that they couldn't quit - and it was hindering - and not helping them in life - they were falling down and falling apart -

I took it - 3 or maybe at most 6 pipes a day for me - would do a session of 5 - 6 pipes in a 2-3 hour period - at the same - same time as entertaining the fine ladies - as they were entertaining me - with all of their skills taught to please a man - that place and the gals that inhabited it were like a huge magnet to me - and I was the ferous metal - that could not deny that eletro-magnetic pull and force they had over me - candy to a baby - and to top it off with being completely stoned on 'O' at the same time - yup - it was so so hard to leave that place - Shangri-la - La-la-land -

When I was there - was in the early 80's - and I wonder what the place is like now -
