Thanks for reminding ……..that’s another $6,000. Oy Vey….Since the wife went back to a straight gig and I shut down the self employment taxes this year should be super simple and I may even not owe anything other than property tax.

The IRS has a set of guidelines to distinguish between employees and self employed sub contractors.
My pyro gigs do not qualify under their guidelines as a self employed sub contractor. yet they allow the pyro companies to classify us as self employed sub contractors. So I get killed every year on taxes.
I try not to think about until 4/13 when I start doing my taxes.

I don’t procrastinate. Drives me crazy.
Back from 3 mile morning walk. Sloppy out there. Had my knee high pull on Bogz boots. Nice and dry. About to get high. Smoking full melt...it's listed as cold water hash and it's 65% THC...it's really hard though and stuck together. I smoke it like hash and tear a little off and throw in my pipe.
I have to pay my rent tomorrow. $370 with all utilities included. Just can't smoke or grow...

The Sixteenth Amendment, ratified in 1913, expanded on Congress’s taxing power.
Article I grants Congress authority to collect taxes,1 but requires direct taxes to be imposed proportional to the population of the states.2
The Sixteenth Amendment clarified that Congress has the power to collect an income tax without apportionment among the states, and without regard to population.3
As discussed in the following essays, the Amendment was adopted in response to a Supreme Court decision that invalidated a federal income tax after holding it was a direct tax that was not properly apportioned.
4Accordingly, the Sixteenth Amendment essentially creates an income tax exception to the requirement in Article I that direct taxes must be apportioned based on states’ population.5
This has raised the question—again, discussed in the following essays—of what counts as income, and whether any given federal tax extends beyond income.

The crazy part is 2 of the pyro companies I work for have been visited by the IRS and made to pay 10's of thousands of dollars in back Federal and FICA taxes. Because they consider us employees. Yet the fuckery continues.
