Minus 16 degrees here. -16…..16 below zero

the chickens will have to be thawed out this morning

the cats are making torches and threatening to burn down the barn if they don’t get some heat today

after several hours of intense negotiations l we have reached an agreement

i let them know that a heat wave was coming today , we are supposed to get up to a scorching 27 today!….

the high yesterday got up to 2 degrees above Fahrenheit

where is the coffee?

Wowza, I stuck our furnace condensate pump discharge into a 5 gallon bucket until I can replumb it to sewer, and it collected five gallons of condensate in less than 20 hours!!

That seems like a lot, so I Googled how much to expect from a high efficiency furnace and they estimate one to two gallons per day...................

But it has been extra below zero cold so maybe that why. Your furnace probably runs constantly.

Heat must be running continuously. We have a 3 gallon bucket under our drain line so the driveway doesn’t ice down. It is full after most cold nights, sometimes overflowing. We empty it once or twice a day when we pass by it on our two dog walks. I’m sure your heat runs longer than ours but this may give you an idea.

Could that be because after not running for several days, the humidity in your furnace room was high and may take a day or two to reach a normal operating range?
