We would go salmon fishing in Pulaski NY
Some parts the river is down a steep incline.
From up in top you could see fish pretty close and not see them regardless of polarized glasses
They had monsterous oak trees that got great sun , plenty of water and a nice long seasoon .
Those acorns were the size of quarters and hit you or the water like a motar,
They were big trees already tall on the embankment and sent those acorns down give you a knot on the head.
Every now and the a acorn would hit a fish and kill it 🙄😊

So you've read Starship Troopers?
More times than I can remember.

Now that is some funny shit...
(*snork*) It never ceases to amaze me how people shriek and run away from a goose or swan or rooster.

When I go goose hunting, the shotgun is not there to protect me from a goose. And if you laid down on the ground and invited a goose to do her worst -- mebbe a *splort* of goose-shit would be the worst.

3e had a goose when I was young that could goose you pretty good. And a rooster that could put holes in you
Neighbors down the block had an attack Goose. Damned thing could draw blood and all us kids crossed the street to the other side if we had to go that way. He'd stop at the curb but you had to be quick.
Heinlien is 1 of my favorites! Also on that list is Larry Niven, Fred Saberhagen(Beserker series), Frank Herbert, and MANY more.
Our local library had an excellent sci-fi section, and it didn't take me all that long as a kid to read it all. In later years I'd haunt the used bookstores for as many of the early works as I could find.
All of Heinlen, Asimov, Bradbury, Norton, Cherry, Ringo, Drake.

I could still find Ace doubles for face prices back in the days. Piss the wife off spending 5 bucks for a grocery sack of them as she knew I'd be lost in them for weeks. Few hundred of hard and paperback books with nobody to leave them to.

Any of us with military background check out David Drake's "Hammer's Slammers" series. John Ringo's Citadel set.

Haven’t priced one lately…
Well - it should afford some vital protection - when goosing around with gooses - it's just plain common sense to protect what could be a part of the future - if certain vital connections are made - having never actually measured the bite force of a testicular trained goose - and only combated one in a Toyota Hi-Lux once - having the unfair advantage - so I'm no sage on this topic - but would rather have some protection - in the unlikely event I ever come across a trained goose - with evil intentions -

Ok the daylight savings hours are making me extra sleepy tonight. I was up last night with worry. Nothing I could do to rest even tho there was nothing I could do to remedy the problem. Was up at 2:30. Should have had snacks with boo. Did a light shroom dose tonight. Gonna smoke a fatty and hopefully be down for the night…hopefully all night as those hours between 2:30 and daylight take forever…
good Night folks 🥰✌️
