I finally found the problem.....loose cable....seems Kevin the cat likes to go behind the modem and sleep. It was the very last place I looked. Hooked up just enough to get a sporadic signal......

I knew there was nothing wrong with the system.....thanks fogey....your post about cables got me to thinking.

Pretty much shot a whole day chasing this ghost.....after all it was Halloween.....

This was driving me crazy....last thing I wanted is to wait days for some guy from India to come and invade the house.....

I have to agree with you invaders should feel the bite of steel/lead.

What concerns me the most is the use of missiles. North America hasn't really been invaded like Eruope was. However, missiles can cover a lot of distance in a very short time. Taking out nuclear power stations and dams. Then there is the electromagnetic pulses(EMPs), which take out electronics.

That's what concerns me the most. After the missiles fly, will either side have the wherewithal to invade on land.
Lets hope YD our children and their children get to have a better existence then that scenario.
Canadians wouldn't sit back and be pacifists, if need be.

Anyone make meat pies, similar to the small Swanson meat pie in the sense it is not a dry type pie but lots of gravy.

Same here. I have no signal......I have done everything. Wonder why my phone works....must be using data. My SIL will be over tonight after work or tomorrow. Afraid I might be dealing with the same issues you did fogey. Fargin electronics....Seems like I am always chasing my tail. What's worse I am obsessed with figuring this out myself.

Sometimes you gotta call the guy.....fk it, I am gonna go and pull dead flowers.

We just had the cox cable folks here for 2 hours. They did check the “numbers” and said that we needed a new box. We just got a new box about 6 mos ago. The pole looks like crap with tons of extra wire hanging about. They have worked on the pole too. Good luck Pute. Ours is working for now but I’m tired of paying so much for internet / tv service and getting bumped off so often…

It's been raining here since last night and on the drive into the village this morning; the snow level was way down the mountains. Since this morning the snow level has come down a few hundred feet more. Soon it will be in the valley bottom.
I noticed the light rays in your photos yesterday, trippy, looked like cookie was watching too.

Our water is finally starting to smell free of chlorine another day and it should be back to normal. My houseplants need a drink of some good water. Hope they got the bacteria level back to what it should be.
The cooler weather should set back the gnat population, they are my enemy.
