I bought two orphaned staghorns today that were 70 miles apart. I’ve been on the road quite a bit and I am pooped. One weighed 300 pounds and it was rather difficult to get it into the back of the truck from the ground… the plant was so big that the fronds hung over both sides as it sat in the back of the truck…
Ok. WTF is a staghorn? Are you going to eat it or smoke it?

Good morning finely aged brothers and sisters! May we all enjoy the good times rolling! View attachment 18933921 View attachment 18933922 View attachment 18933923 View attachment 18933924

A mostly clear day here starting at 34F and predicted to reach 51F, clouding up in the evening in preparation for more rain.

Working on historical records for the "Patent War" action team and data to support my battle with Area Heating and Cooling, who is trying to defraud me by marking repair parts up 800%, in addition to their $150 just to show up and $200/hr rate. Their service manager fluffed off my objection, so my next assault will be their general manager, before resorting to legal action and social media.
Sue the bastards!

Bubba, this is a stag horn fern. There is many different species of them, but they all are what are considered epiphytes which means they absorb all their nutrients and moisture through the air. Being I live in a semi tropical area that gets rain all the time the plants thrive. Here is a picture of one of my stag horns. It sits on the ground until I can get enough chains to hang it from a tree limb.

yup, the potassium in the nanners makes them turn blue but now isn't the right time to fertilize them...they are somewhat dormant in the colder months but in the spring I buy 20 pounds of nanners and blue 'em up...I'll be posting my plants up shortly when I begin a thread about life in the swamp...it will have a very broad reach that begs for thread drift... ;)
