As an old pilot, I have always wondered about the scene in North By Northwest where Whatzisname is running down a road from a plane coming at him...
1. Did he think he could outrun a plane?
2. What the bloody HELL was the pilot thinking!? Did he really intend to demolish himself and his plane to get the movie star guy?
3. I'd a stood there with a sign saying: "Bring it, Stupid! DO IT!" and brought the bastage down in flames by ducking (just like the movie star guy did), but also tossing a rock into the propeller.

It seems like a lot of stuff breaking of late. Now that I have our printer replaced, our internet back online, and our tenants furnace working, I went to air up the tires on the Ford and our compressor would not come up to pressure.
I ended up putting $5 in the compressor at the local service station, but it was broken too, so I had to go buy a new one.

I have a small makita compressor but bought got $99 bat operated Makita.
I have the Makita platform so battery's aren't a issue.
Went to a wedding upstate coming back tire shows low and I didnt bring it.

Big chooch that I am try not to go anywhere with out that pump,jump box ( very small now)a light and a invertor.
With my van I would jump someone but the new cars I use a jump box so my car dont get hurt from premature sparkulation.
The way I see it, if a bird strike can bring down a plane ,that fat bastard could bring down the starship enterprise.
