Back in the very early days of BigBuddha (Milo) only had regular Cheese seeds A cross of uk cheese with an Afgani male. It became apparent that I wasn't going to obtain the UK Cheese clone..
So.. screw it I grew it. Best I ever grown.. POTIENT, yield, taste but not crazy terps but good ones.. But I lost the mom/clones... 2011ish. I wanted more but Millo left BB (as I am told) and BB Cheese became cheese crossed with their cheese.. wasn't as good..

I just discovered - The Original Big Buddha Family Farms Original Cheese (Milo) Original UK Cheese clone crossed with Afgani male.. I got a woodie. Purchased 6 Fems.. first 3 were duds.. <not good start) I killed one of the last three that germed and just finished OC3 (OC2 is waiting). OC3 is excellent. She was scrogged only using 4 branches.. 400w LED, the stalk & branches are very strong/woody. A bud that was clipped 5 days before the cut is as I said above, is excellent. Yield.. let you know in 10 days or so.

She was easy to grow and withstood numerous light timing on22/off 36 issues as well as high temps (99F) the culprit.. new AI controller and my limited brain capacity..

BTW, the AI controller with the PPK is almost a set it and forget it.
Keeping the nutrient an humidity rezs filled is the big effort.. NO PH worries.
More time experimenting with the 'babies' in early veg.

Dono and I'm not bein defensive, these came from ASB.. And were listed as
"The Original Big Buddha Family Farms Original Cheese" .. they do Blue Cheese too.
GHS, as well as any seed bank, can say/sell, whatever they like.. there's no real regulation.
And I'm not implying what you are saying or they are saying isn't true.. IDK>

And moving on... 1st run of first germed seed before 3 previous duds.

10 days after harvest>hanging a test branch was taken for "INSPECTION" still a little wet
but ground and left sitting overnight makes it vape able.. I do this looking for the biggest potency bang that "I" can produce... for me.. this shit is good.. 61 days bloom.. I been doing this for ??? 20 years and this is very close to the best I've run.. and I have absolutely nothing to do with them or anyone..
Not finished drying yet so not estimate on yield. It will be enough for me and a friend++.

EDIT: I was way for 3 days, so not 10 days hanging but 4. I get high, what can I say

Not sure what I was ramblin' about up there but it is 7 days hanging/drying whole.. 75F/45%RH.
Cut was at 61 days (next run > 65) days but travel plans altered my 30% red trichome watch (there were only few) but still great head/body rushes.. Don't hear anyone say that any more 'what a rush'.. just sayin'.

How was this compared to the cheese floating around back in the day? What about smoke? Im thinking of getting the same ones to run and see if it satisfies the cheese cravings haha. I maybe do a pheno hunt of them run a tent of the best one but dontwant to drop any money if its not at least close in taste and effects

It's always a pheno hunt, brother. 1 seed germed and harvested.. as good as BB Cheese backin the early 2000s? That's a long time back to remember for this old stoner. But I'm VERY happy with this one plant..
As I get older, I've found that my market arena has dried up. So only 1 plant at at a time. Makes pheno hunting slow. Right now I'm torn between running the same girl again or going to her sister seed plant that is the same age.. So far all 4 seeds that have germed express themselves the same.
So taste?? maybe but effect, very close. As for the money... At one point I spent $100/seed (<what an ass) so at $8 a seed.. not an issue in todays world..

No cheesey smell. I'm not good at identifying terps but my wife and I both agreed the buds smell like cleanser... and overall smell is low. Even thru dry trimming..

So she's shorter (I scrogged her), stalk and main branches very strong and woody w hollow secondary branches. I'm a vaper and haven't burned any yet.. taste is ??? I dono. not terrible. works very nicely..

I have 3, 10 year old hazy regular F13 seeds (DJS) on hand.. I might start those veg>>>bloom find sex keep the girls, cull the boys.. (I'm betting 2 girls 1 boy.. ) back into veg and grow it/them out until next ??? December? They're making me run 2 plants..
Good luck nfc. I too am fond of the cheese strain. BTW, 4maggio is Italian for 'cheese'.

Ahh thats a shame about the smell man im hoping i may find some do smell of old school cheese, im actually trying to track it down at the min (the actual one not beans) but its proving very difficult i have ordered some of these now to hunt through. I didnt know that about your name haha thats cool, have you had any luck over the years with anything close to cheese?

I've popped 7 seeds.. 3 were duds, 4 germed, I killed one.. The other 3? OC3 is very good, 9oz, 1 plant.
OC2, well, I made too many changes at once. One change was to give control to an AI controller. Couldn't make the thing run cooler at night.. Well I'm ashamed to say that in a buzz blitz somehow mixed the calcium frets with the NPK part.. she didn't like it and so I killed her too. Now OC5.. the others are dark green but OC5 is lime green at 20 days from seed and could go dark but the others started dark.. The most potent cheese that was harvested was early BB and lime green.. I could run OC2 which is 6 months old but the lime green gets me pumped with anticipation.. AND so? What are you up to?

I too have been searching for some 'proper Cheese', as an old friend here named Monkey used to call it.
I have grown the UK Cheese Exodus cut back in 2008-2012, lost it, and have been searching for it, or something very close to it.
I met Milo in Amsterdam at the 2007 Cannabis Cup, a very nice guy with a big smile! Wish I could access my photobucket account for photos, Milo won a cannabis cup in 2006. I should have bought some big buddha seeds from him but Monkey tried both what we were growing the Exodus cut, and said big buddha's wasn't as good.
I also met Jay from Next Generation Seeds in Amsterdam at the 2010 Cannabis Cup, a great guy and a fellow Canadian, hung out during that week, he was a vendor and I was there reporting for a magazine. Lost touch and had'nt thought of him in years until doing a search for Cheese seeds. Turns out he has the Exodus cut and crossed it with BC Grapefruit to increase yields, same as Milo did who crossed the Exodus cut, but with Afghani for bigger yields.
I'm waiting on the mail for the seeds, ordered Jan. 4, be here any day.
I'll be able to do a true comparison, from past experience with the Exodus cut, can't wait!
I'll be sure to begin a grow journal soon, post some photos for you to see, cheers!

*edited to add photos of Milo (Big Buddha) at Cannabis Cup 2007 with his cannabis cup he won in 2006 for Best Indica with Big Buddha Cheese!

Received my seeds today, soaking now.....stay tuned for a grow journal soon.
and I did find a few UK Cheese Exodus cut photos in my old photobucket account from 2008, not budding photos but some early to mid vegging shots. Photobucket hijacked my photos and the original file names so only way I can definitely tell the plants pictured are UK Cheese are by the plant markers in the photo showing 'UKC'.
I'll dig through them and post screenshot images of my photos, stay away from photobucket. But they did save them for all these years, so I'm glad for that. When you grow for over 20 years it becomes a blur, my photobucket account reminded me of that, some of the grows pictured I remember, but vaguely.
