Medford voters to decide city ban on growing pot outdoors

Medford voters to decide city ban on growing pot outdoors

MEDFORD, Ore. — Medford voters will decide whether city residents can grow marijuana outdoors.

The Medford Mail Tribune reports the council will send a measure to voters in November that would ban residents from growing marijuana outdoors.

It would also create an ordinance related to complaints about the smell of neighbors growing pot indoors.

Councilmembers are expected to send voters another measure, this one banning indoor and outdoor grow sites altogether within city limits.

The two councilmembers to vote against pursuing a complete ban noted the difficulty in indoor enforcement.

Medford police Lt. Kevin Walruff says the city received 30 complaints related to marijuana in a recent six-month period.

Officials said many complaints go unreported.

Anyone else getting purple leaves on growing shoots due to cold nights? Phosphorous lock up? Foliar feed to treat? Potted plants have been soaked and cold from rain lately. I hit them with worm tea yesterday and greened right back up. Amazing they didn't show signs of being over watered due to all the rain here lately.

Fencing Ideas? Law says block from public view, yet 8' fence requires pulling a building permit. Likely not allowed in city limits. Thoughts?

If something is voted legal by people of the State. Then the State makes it a pay to play, is that unconstitutional? Communities are not allowed to ban equal rights, mixed marriage, alternative lifestyles. Would it be legal to charge high fees for anyone of those?

I don't like the smell of farts, other people's or my own. I don't like to hear oompah oompah circus music blasting in a neighborhood. I don't like hearing lawnmowers when my grass is high. I really hate being assaulted by others perfume bath in public. I don't whine about it, never called the cops for it.

Oregon Only - Contest Entry

Oregon Only - Contest Entry

My hard core stoner desert chickens prefer to nibble the one one the right. The middle one is the perttiest. The one on the left is getting ready to jump up and punch somebody in the face. (and may be male). To win the contest, which one do I grow?

selection by veg is like judging a book by it's cover; that being said runt's have typically flowered out to be more special for me personally.

Measure the internode length and pick the one with the longest.
Looks to me like the one on the left would be my choice but, it's all opinion. that will really suck if it's a male, it probably will be

So is this contest going to be, largest plant? Or biggest yielding?
Because I would take those details into account when making your choice.

I'm ready for the contest :)

Lol don't mind the terrible looking backround, with a burn barrel and chairs, overgrown with grass.
My plan fell through with a nice plot so I am working with what I got this year.

I think bigdank said 4 plants since that is legal but we should probably go with the biggest plant in our yard..

hahaha....I'm on board with all of it.

I might be getting a late start but I might be up there in time to get my 4 outs going.

are you guys familiar with any cool campgrounds in the outer eugene/wilamette valley area? figured I'd get my camping fix while I'm house hunting in a couple weeks.

I don't camp near eugene but this link will show you many places to choose from.
I've never been disappointed showing up to any camp ground. I'd just pick a spot, go there, and if it's bunk, go to a new place the next night. You can't really go wrong if your choice is near a lake or river.
Hope this helps

That's some rich looking soil Dank, did you amend it at all? Nice sunny spot, facing West? That horse trailer says manure pile, that means red wigglers in these parts. That means free worm castings! 1/4 screen is perfect to get some black gold. Love the one+ yard planters as well. Would be nice if you could irrigate that pasture to keep it green all Summer, hand lines etc. Deer are pretty thick in your neighborhood I'm betting, and not afraid of people. I've heard that mothballs in a nylon stocking on a stake will keep them at bay. Nice spot, dug your ass off.

The soil is super rich and soft like butter. No rocks til u go down at least 2 ft. I lab tested it and amended it over a month ago. Hardly needs any fertilizer. It has loads of worms in it. The baskets are about 7 ft. In diameter and 3 ft. Tall. I'm estimating each one at about 8-900 gallons of that native soil.

The spot is facing directly south and gets sun all day but the photo is a bit west. That view is looking down south west over the Willamette valley and Trask mountains. I'm at the first big northern mountain range.

I'm gonna hook up drip coils soon and might run a sprinkler out their to foliar but only for the gals. I have fenced and trellised them but phone died so no photo of that yet. I dug my ass off for sure. Lost like 10 lbs. Shoveled it all by hand...felt good though :)

Dank,
We're chewing on the same dirt. What were your amendments? I picked up several yards of an organic mix and was going to cut this native soil with it. Thought about adding dolopril 1/2 C per yd hole, and gypsum, oyster shells (chicken feed) at 2 C per hole each. Then lots of rock dust. Might go get some blood, bone and feather meal today. Am I missing anything major? You're right about the native worms, some biggies in this soil. If you ever see a big white one, don't tell anyone. That would be a rare native worm and they will turn your property into a worm reserve, lol.

I have taken soil tests at about 10 different locations in this valley and I must say that they can vary greatly. The one thing that is usually very similar across the board is the Ph being in the 5's and a boron deficiency. This native soil here is the richest I have ever used. This is the only recommendation I have gotten with application rates over 1000 sq. ft. This spot can be amended with as little as general application rates per 3000 sq. ft.

Here is my lab test and recommendations:
picture.php

Apply the following per 1000 sq. ft. / 3015 sq. ft.:
180#* Limestone (Not Dolomite)
28.3# Feather Meal
5# Fish Bone Meal
4.8# Sulfate of Potash

As a substitute for the feather meal, fish bone meal, and sulfate of potash, you could use a pre-mixed fertilizer. I’d recommend 50# of the “Nature’s Intent 7-2-4.”

*The key to applying this much lime or dolomite is that it must be worked into the soil to a 6"-8" depth. If you don't till in the lime, you should limit the application to 90# per 1000 sq. ft..

For trace nutrients, I generally recommend the following per 1000 sq. ft.:
#10 Kelp Meal
#10 Rock Dust (Ex: Cascade Minerals, Glacial Rock Dust, Azomite, or Greensand)
The test also noted low Boron levels, but applying kelp over the next 5 years should correct the deficiency. If you want to, you make a one-time application of boron.

this was in my email:

Friends and members,

Like everyone, the Oregon Cannabis Association is looking forward to June 2nd early sales of extracts, edibles and non-psychoactive topicals. We have received many questions about what a prefilled receptacle is. OHA has provided the following definition:

(q) "Prefilled receptacle of cannabinoid extract" means a single use cartridge prefilled with a cannabinoid extract by itself.

In parsing this out, there are two issues- what does "single use" mean and what does "extract by itself mean".

OHA has directed that "single use" will mean that the receptacle is not intend to be refilled by the dispensary. In a communication with the agency they have further expanded on this by writing:

"...a receptacle or cartridge of extract that is prefilled before the time of sale to the consumer that cannot be refilled by the dispensary or processor when the extract contained therein is used up or emptied. Up to 1000 mg of THC extract may be prefilled in the container but when the container is empty, the consumer may not bring the empty vessel into the retailer or processor to be refilled."

OHA has also indicated that "extract by itself" means that the extract can not be mixed or cut with any additional agent like flavoring, propylene glycol or vegetable glycerin. The Oregon Cannabis Association is working with OHA to provide input on some of the challenges this presents.

If this impacts you or your business, feel free to write to [email protected] and share your feedback.

Onward!
The Oregon Cannabis Association

Its pretty terrible news and who the hell is Amy Margolis anyway? She serves on the Rule Committee for the Oregon Health Authority's Dispensary Program and she also serves as chief lobbyist for the industry as founder of The Oregon Cannabis Association, which is a conflict of interest and she isn't using it in our favor. What the hell

The Law in SB 1511 says:
"The medical marijuana dispensary sells no more than one receptacle of limited marijuana retail product to the person per day if the person is purchasing a prefilled recep- tacle of a cannabinoid extract."

But her rules tomfoolery made shit much stricter, should have gone the other way.

This might all just be coming from frustration at the further delay in the legalization of recreational dabs which we all, as a state, voted for almost two years ago, but fuck **** shit piss
