how come some og clones can throw out single and three finger leaves after cloning? Ive noticed each time i take cuts with 5 fingers, as soon as roots appear, they go to 3 finger and single finger.
Anyways , ive got an og kush cut. Not sure what she is, been told its sfv cross. But recently someone said its looks more tahoe.
Have no experience with either, so anyone who can id her , that would be great.

Well, they do look very similar but they are a little bit different.
The reason i didnt label those is cause honestly i took those pics a couple months ago and ive forgotten which was which.
but heres a couple pics that i do know which is which.
True OG (left), SFV OG (right)

notice the hairs on the SFV are more orangey colored.

That last pic is a bad example pappy, sfv og kush from cali connection and true og from elemental are both knock offs of real cuts. Your cuts are real, and look phenomenal by the way, but cali connection sfv isn't even made with real sfv according to theDOCTA, and the real "true og" is the cut Don and Aaron from DNA use to make the og18. The elemental true og is just some cross with the name of a real clone only applied to sell more seeds I would think, since they list the cross and it's not pure og

Perplexed at the level of ignorance in this post. Yes we can still self. No its not the same thing. This is the whole reason for the term "clone-only", because an s1 is not a clone only.

Also notice how all the ogs in the poll are the older cuts? That's because all the new shit being tagged "og" are all watered down bullshit. I'll stick to my sfv, aka the cut Josh d grew in the valley in the mid 90's, you can grow whatever s1 fakes you want.

he does have a point. there should be only 1 "legit og" everything else is an S1 or cross. ...or s1 of a cross...or just not even og. but all in all theres only 1 legit og technically.

If you have some inner knowledge feel free to explain, and calling me a "newb" hey thats cool.
Ive been growing weed all my life and thats why I came here.
Yes I think its funny that people make up words about a plant thats existed forever but hey, thats my opinion.
So what defining characteristics make an "og" exactly?
(It just seems to me a term that has no valid basis.)
Self crosses never seemed to "water anything down" from what Ive seen so again im not clear on that.

Ok, first off, your statements were condescending, so don't try to act all innocent, second off, if you don't know that og is a specific strain, don't come into an og thread and laugh at how funny it is that we all are talking about "legit og", it makes you look stupid and pretentious. Thirdly, og is a clone without a 100% certain origin, but most people agree that it was brought to cali from the crew that also made bubba kush in florida.
But to claim that saying "calling things legit og and real clone only strains is laughable because you could just self it" is an ignorant and insulting statement to those of us that put in the work to find elite genetics
